Song Parodies -> The Great Suspender
| Original Song Title: | "The Great Pretender" |
| Original Performer: | The Platters |
| Parody Song Title: | "The Great Suspender" |
| Parody Written by: | Michael Pacholek |
John McCain said he was "suspending his campaign." Seems he forgot to tell his campaign, because they kept on pumping out lies about the Democrats. He did it in order to get a bailout bill. How'd that work out? He also tried to postpone the first Presidential debate. That didn't work too well, either. Maybe he SHOULD have suspended his campaign, because it's sinking faster than the Edmund Fitzgerald!
Oh, yes, I'm the great suspender.
Suspending, I'm not doing well.
My need is such, I now trail by much.
I'm losing, campaign's gone to hell.
Oh, yes, I'm the great suspender.
Adrift in a world of my own.
I play the game, but to my real shame
the polls say Barack's got my "pwn."
I thought I could win, 'twas make-believe.
Too real is this deal, losses I can't conceal.
Oh, yes, I'm the great suspender.
They're laughing at Sarah the clown.
We seem to be what we're not, you see:
Two mavericks who won't get a crown.
Pretending we're not going down.
I thought I could win, 'twas make-believe.
Too real is this deal, losses I can't conceal!
Oh, yes, I'm the great suspender.
They're laughing at Sarah the clown.
We seem to be what we're not, you see:

Pretending we're not
going down.

matches the painful tone of the OS
He's also a great pretender.
Lord Pacholek, could this apply to your two mavericks, Lady Catherine & Michael D ?
