I don't find filibusters a professional/ethical way to handle things. DKTOS.
I think they should go back to having REAL filibusters, when in order to keep debate open, they'd have to keep on talking all hours of day and night, which is something most of them are really good at. Trouble is, all that hot air would surely contribute to global warming.
I didn't vote on this song because of personal bias, but all I have to say is: the Republicans hate filibusters now, but they're gonna hate not having the ability to filibuster if they ever become the minority again.
I don't care who is filibustering. But using long speeches for the sole purpose of boredom and frustration is not exactly mature.
Do read up on the purpose of filibusters, YWN. You might just find that filibusters serve a vital role in our political system. Now, if you're talking about the use of filibusters by Jesse Helms, then boredom is an accurate adjective.
