The Lyrics

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Odd_Couple.
Oh he lives uptown, is neat as a pin, that's the truth
And his sinuses rot, so his nose squeaks, I'll show the proof
Unger's an odd duck, guy on TV
From the mind of Neil Simon, not based on he

Unger's an odd duck--not Oscar Madison
Unger's an odd duck--couple living quite odd
Unger's an odd duck--but they are straight as a rod
Unger's an odd duck--odd duck!

Felix's wife kicked him out, could no longer stand his OCD
So he called up his friend Oscar, and moved in quickly
Unger's an odd duck, some say "sissy"
The apartment with Oscar M. is where he'll be

Unger's an odd duck--Oscar's the slob
Unger's an odd duck--with a newswriter job
Unger's an odd duck--they may push and shove
Unger's an odd duck--but it's platonic love
Unger's an odd duck--odd duck!

Unger's an odd duck--it's plain to see
Tony Randall based most of his role self-ref'rentia'ly

Unger's an odd duck--he had no son
Unger's an odd duck--but a daughter, had one
Unger's an odd duck--movie was Jack Lemmon
Unger's an odd duck--now the song is all done
Unger's an odd duck--odd duck!

That was the funniest show and your parody describes it well.

Sorry, Felix, but Agri had to use the Drifters, not the Coasters.

5s from this corner, I hadn't seen an episode of that show in probably six or seven years, used to watch Nick at Nite a lot, very cool. . .

I actually did a scene from the Odd Couple play in freshman year so this parody brought back some memories. I totally screwed up my part, because I forgot like every other line (I think I may have C-ed that class if I'm lucky). Anyways... This was a pretty good parody although I'm not exactly familiar with the show other than that one scene me and my buddy performed.

Hmmm - I wonder if Monk is an illegimate son of Felix - if he's not he's missing a good chance to be. This is a fun parody and I as well enjoyed that show even though Felix would dance on my last nerve at times but it could not be the show it was without him. Very well written and I like what you did with the OCD ref.

(ABC4-U) Given how old the show is, I can't really get into this parody. Plus the title's kinda weird - an odd duck? Never heard that one before...

Great OS... the topic is a bit beyond me as I never saw the show, play or cartoon: the wiki link was helpful, a bit. Good rhymes and pacing - is there a line missing out of the first chorus?

Still decent as a parody, still think it's pretty cool that you reminded me of Odd Duck, a bit lacking on comedy though for an ABC round buddy:)

I remember hearing this oldies soul song at a grocery store and I see the mood of that song fits the parody well. I see that this OS was written around the same time Neil Simon wrote the Odd Couple. In other words, you kinda matched the same decade the real song and play/show/movie were written, different from my parody about The Odd Couple putting together a '60s/'70s show and an '80s rock song. Anyways, here's a 555 for you
