"Being For The Benefit Of Missing Sight"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

there's a benefit to missing sight
there will be no shows tonight on the t.v screen
you never have to brush your hair,
your dishes can lay anywhere..how obscene...
I wear linen garters, hoopless earrings,
lastly, my new boots are not admired...
in this way, I can say screw off you world...

to celebrate my blindness day
appointments made for Saturday will all be late
my white cane shows me everything
my dog just crapped I smell the thing ...it's not great..
but the record shows the sighted public
lets me off with mischief second to none...
and of course, everyone helps when I get lost...
In to the store, I stand and spread,
and twirl my dog atop my head, to look around
the dog will yelp and demonstrate
the aisle I need he's oh so great for what I've found
having taken days to teach him how to yelp when
dog bones boxes he sees for his call..
and tonight, without sight, I'm sitting still....
