Song Parodies -> "Enterprise"

Original Song Title:

"Bali Hai"

Parody Song Title:

"Enterprise"

Parody Written by:

The Comedian

The Lyrics

Rick Berman is the Creator and Executive Producer of "Enterprise". "Orange Sunshine" was a type of LSD popular among Hippies. "Xindi", pronounced "Zindee", are the current bad-guys on "Enterprise".
Most Star Trek fans are such lonely guys, and,
Babble in Klingon while they watch TV
Most of them hoped the new show'd delight them,
But now they'd rather watch DVDs...

"Enterprise"
Appalls you

Every night
That it plays

Your remote
You'll hear it call you:
"Tune away...Tune away!"

"Enterprise"
Will whisper

Of bad guys
Called "Xindi"

"Here am I, your lamest sci-fi...run from me, run from me!"

I tried smoking dope
I tried drinking beer
"En-terprise" still stank like farts from a Tribble, dear!

If you try
You might get
Through a whole
Episode

If you first,
Take LSD,
And,
Lick a toad...Lick a toad

"...Enterprise..."
"...Enterprise..."
...Close your eyes!!!

One day, Rick Berman
Swallowed Orange Sunshine

His head
Then
Filled-up
With the crap they show now

Sponsors
Like lemmings

Flingin' dough
With dumb minds

Greed, as clear, as can be...

"Run from me...To the can...Run from me...Run from me...RUN FROM MEEEE!"

If you're high
You might stand
Watching one
Show a week

Tune it in,
Fill up your pipe,
And,
Smoke your weed...Smoke your weed

...Watch it high...
...With red eyes...
"...Enterprise..."

DKTOS. Just had to say that I donīt think there is such a thing as a tribble fart. I think they have a closed digestive system. 50% of what goes in are diverted to growth, 50% to hermaphrodic reproduction. :-)

Weīre still on season two here in Sweden so I havenīt actually seen the Xindi yet, hope theyīre not as "bad" as you make them out to be here. Also, and I hope itīs not true, but Iīve heard that the final cliffhanger of season three involves some timeline alterations and EVIL ALIEN NAZIS? *Shudders*

On the money, Mr D! "Enterprise" is the worst piece of garbage ever to come out of the ST womb..and the theme song's crap as well! 555

(trying to get a multi-culti as the series, I guess...)

This is really, really well done. Nice rhyming with the original. Love the LSD/Lick a Toad bit.

This tune really fits well with the whole Trekkie vibe, though I'm unfamiliar with this series.

Can we submit this to Rick Berman as a replacement for the stupid theme song? I know the original song, but I don't really know the series because I couldn't get past that theme song. Big bunches of 5s for you. (I haven't checked yet...are there more South Pacific parodies posted? Will I have to wash those songs right out of my hair later?)

Gee, all this time... and you're only up to 300? What? You have a life? That's not allowed! Better step it up, Bud. John Barry is on our asses!

DKTOS, but it's ok because I don't watch Enterprise or Star Trek either. But I still love you Johnny!

Thanks, everybody!

K1chyd: Do they show it in English with Swedish subtitles, or do they dub it into Swedish? And don't you agree that there's something redundant about the term "Evil Alien Nazis" ? Oh yeah, let's get some of them "Non-Evil Alien NAZIs" instead! LOL! ;-D

Kristof: Yeah, it's disappointed me from time to time, but I'm not really so down on it as this parody suggests...just a bit miffed here and there!

Leola: Who'da thought "Bali Hai" would have a "Trekkie Vibe" ? Hey! There's another "Bali Hai" parody waiting to happen....."Trekkie Vibe...will call you...when Spock's hand forms that "V".....here am I, nerd paradise-land....shields up please....now Warp 3"

Adagio: Thanks! Yeah, "Bali Hai" is one of the better-known tunes from SP, along with the monster hit "Some Enchanted Evening".

Ravyn: Just use the Sonic Shower on Deck 23.

Rick D: I don't think we have to worry about JB being on our asses, so long as Captain Hindgrinder gets on HIS ass! I have no idea what that means. No, wait, I do.

Ashkicksass: Awww, the meeling is futual!

K1chyd (again): "It's been a long road...." Have you seen my parody of "Faith Of The Heart" ?

Cookie-man: And your library-card's always good here, C-man!

alvin: I LOVE Amiright "synchronicities"! Ashkicksass and I had one recently with my parody "Nappies of Leather" and her being invited to a Harley Davidson-themed baby shower! Rick Duncan and I have had many, too.

No dubbing here for programs above a seven year olds level. Iīll check the parody out.

Johnny D - Excellent job here - it also appears that we have achieved convergence with our opinions of the "Enterprise" sector of the "Star Trek" Franchise. Sadly, it has devolved into dreadful dreck. 5's - OH...and Congrats-a-million on reaching 300 parodies here on Amiright. You sure got there fast! I don't think you had 100 when I got on in November of 2003. In addition to your prodigious quantity you also put out good quality and help make the site more interesting and enjoyable by making a serious, sustained effort to comment and vote on other author's works and offer encouragement and goodwill towards them, especially newcomers. I remember when I first starting posting on the site that you were the among the first commenters (along with Rick and Spaff) on the five parodies I put up that day, and your positive remarks encouraged my to write and post more and hang with it...even when I got to around "10" and suddenly had that "I don't think I can come up with anymore, woe is me, I'm through here" attack. Well, that's enough, someone just told me I had a brown smear on my nose, better wipe it off...

Thank you, Paul. I guess it's all a case of "Pay It Forward" .... When I posted my first parody on Amiright on September 8, 2003 ("The Erection Of Edmund Fitzgerald"), I was delighted by the warm and friendly way so many veteran Amirighters welcomed me and encouraged me.....so I just want to pass the goodwill along! :-D

JD - SEPT. 8th, 2003!!! Wow, you've only been posting a couple months more than I have! THREE FREAKING HUNDRED & COUNTING!! I'm amazed and truly humbled...OH...SORRY, that was my competitive, number-counting bastard of a personality....back to that "goodwill" thing....No, seriously, I'm glad you did (and still do). It's not just YOU doing it...other folks see and recognize the benefit of offering a collegial ambience and pick up the torch. It's amazing how positive acts and deeds can resound throughout a site and keep sending ripples out long after the original thought.

Encouraging comments to newbies, yeah, I try to do that too when time allows. Some might see that as brownnosing for votes, but for the record, thatīs not what Iīm after, just last night I put in my negative view of one of the songs in the SOTM contest. Guess I blew all chances of that guy voting for me there.
