The Lyrics

Part of my "Blame It on the Whiskey" self-challenge. Oh yeah, United State of Pop time again. This time it's actually on time! And speaking of being on time, it's that time of year for a lot of get-togethers, which results in a lot of garbage. Let's make sure they go in the right bin, shall we?
Oh, can you follow directions?
'Cause you're drivin' me mad
Don't be the guy to ask "What's the diff'rence?"
That's askin' for a slap
Need to stop, that's all I'm sayin'
Clear to see these bins need some separation, right

Rubbish and the compost can't be confused
Diff'rent kinds of waste, please keep 'em sep'rate, dude
Don't want to call "moron" but you tempt me to
Might be a waste, it's true

Uh-huh

Fast food bags go in the compost
Make sure to check the cups (la-la-la-la-la-la-la)
Not all worked out even full of liquid
No need for plastic junk
Paper gets recycled, even
If you see words to read, ink, crayon, either's fine

This is all important, don't get confused
Many kinds of waste, please keep 'em sep'rate, dude
Food may be for compost, not Mars wrappers, dude
Your mixin' waste feels rude

La-la-la-la-la-la-la

Doesn't take a lot of time before you wave your trash goodbye
To pause and think, it's only fair to put only correct stuff there
Know the answer's in your mind 'cause I've told you a thousand times
I'd put up a diagram with care but I know you'd ignore that's there

Ain't right to fill up the compost with plastic, true
Diff'rent kinds of waste, please keep 'em sep'rate, dude
Do I know what happens? I don't but it's rude
And a time-waster too (waste, so rude, ow)
La-la-la-la-la-la-la
Many kinds of waste, please keep 'em sep'rate, dude (no)
La-la-la-la-la-la-la (yeah, ah-ah)
Diff'rent kinds of waste, please keep 'em sep'rate, dude

It's also important to aim the rage at the right person. I'm not gonna get too mad when my nephew puts his chocolate wrappers in the compost. When someone closer to my parents' age puts their tissues in the regular rubbish? That's infuriating.

bobpiecheese, you along with Duc4AmIRight, quart milkster and Onslaught are the only authors who submit a parody everyday. This site needs rescuing from all the bogus votes and Phil Ossifer comments. Please help by leaving good comments on the said parody authors. You are our only hope bobpiecheese

I don't know who is worse--G&GBF and whatever name you change it to, Ned The Clam, Phil Ossifer, Libby, or you. Maybe you are all the same person (if that can be called "person"--more like persons. Sybil? Eh, wot?)
