The Lyrics

Part of my "Strawberry Ice Cream Supplemental" self-challenge. You ever find yourself in a situation where something needs to be said but all that comes to mind is the stupidest thing in the world? Well, this dude has...

Sit alone, wait for my appointment (my appointment)
And I'm really hopin' that it won't be pointless (won't be pointless)
But before my brain can set off on its train of thought
Your ass comes along and sits right next to mine, feels pointed
The lobby's empty, why are you comin' over (over)?
Just tryna weird me out? Help me not be a loner (loner)?
Waitin' for you to ask me a question, what's your op'ner (op'ner)?
Hurry up, don't let me start out by sayin'

Shit like "What you know 'bout stuff?" (I'm lookin' like a twit)
Don't know what that means (oh-oh-oh-oh)
My mouth's like a door with the hinges off (it's swingin')
And you're the strong breeze
Look, I'm no good at small talk, just say what (sayin' stuff so crazy)
My brain gives to me
I dunno how to stop so could you just not (hate lookin' crazy)?
Please go and leave me be (oh-ooh-whoa-ooh-whoa-oh)

I worry what I'll say will be dumb (uh)
The words decidin' to flow past my lips like a tap, but
Wait, more like the water inside it, boy, I screwed that up
Once again, I just can't stop the words, so please un-shut your mouth or I'll go nuts
You had to sit your butt (uh) directly next to mine (uh)
Of all the spots to sit, your choice had to be by my side (move your butt)
Now all that my stupid brain has to think 'bout at this time (at this time)
Is all the words it can think of that mean the same as "hind" ('cause butts)
I cannot break the ice (butts) with that kinda talk, I've checked (checked)
Let's just say that my inclination to hate shorts makes sense (some sense)
Don't care if it's a hundred degrees, won't show leg
Bruise hasn't buggered off, been permanently left (looks crazy)
This natter, natter, dumb natter, natter (dumb natter)
Is part of a list of things that I have on my brain (brain)
That I cannot blurt out ever, would kill the mood forever (butts)
Say somethin' before I bomb

Might say "What you know 'bout stuff?" (I'd look like such a twit)
You'd look weird at me (oh-oh-oh-oh)
Raise a brow before I can explain what (say somethin')
I had meant to mean
Can't just move from this spot, awkward as balls (gonna drive me crazy)
It's just you and me (oh-oh-oh-oh)
Wait just a tic, hang on (oh, oh), I must've heard wrong (oh-oh, I must be crazy)
Said what I thought to me (oh-oh-oh-oh)

As usual, I come up with the title sub for these United State of Pop parodies well in advance, so the fact that the song about being in an office lobby feeling awkward starting with a semi-muted instrumental that sounds like it's being played over shitty office speakers and a long exhale? Totally unintentional.
