we made land as dry as toast.

We got Shabbat to discover—
ain’t on Sunday, like some others.
Mount Sinai is rocky hard
and so old and oh so
geologically scarred. . .
got ten up there, Moses, our pard.
The Torah holds a great many charms.
Made it to Israel and started farms.
And that temple—well it is alright!
But no more now—please call it a night!
