The Lyrics

How good is that doggie in the White House
How firm is he wagging his tail
How good is that doggie in the White House
Will he solve our problems, or fail

He takes lots of trips to many places
And sometimes leaves poor Michelle home
Is he the right doggie to protect us,
Or is he just destined to roam..

How good is that doggie in the White House
Two year show is up, will he place
How right is that doggie in the White House
Will he, down in hist'ry, save face..

We see on TV support is waning
His beacon grows dim in the dark
Will he snarl his teeth, and scare our foes off
Or does Iran mutt have more bark..

How smart is that doggie in the White House
Is there too much shag in his eyes
How good is that doggie in the White House
Can he win the blue ribbon prize..

We don't need a bunny or a kitty,
Or parrots that just squawk and talk
Don't need in control, wimpy fishes
Is he too much dove, and no hawk..

How sharp is that doggie in the White House
Can he dig and find the right bone
If doggie don't jump soon in the White House
By "Two-Twelve" he'll have a new home

A new home for the dog in the White House? What, will the Labour leader who replaces that fool David Cameron as Prime Minister of Britain make a trade with the re-elected President Obama?

Riffing on this idea for a bit: Sarkozy = A French Poodle; Pope Benedict = A German Shepherd; Victor Borge, Neils Bohr, and Hans Christian Andersen = Great Danes; Capital Dwellers In China = Pekingese (ok, today it's Beijingese); and Mel Gibson = A rabid Dingo. While my politics are well-known, perhaps President Obama could have given the line a positive spin by adding a quote from Ecclesiastes 9:4 - "...a living dog is better than a dead lion". ;D

Beautiful timing, with the Pres's "dog" remark last week. Clever to take a kid's song and turn it to political.

Just heard recently that the Gov of Iraq has a huge budget surplus. Why doesn't the Pres have even a dog's balls to demand that they use that to repay us some of the cost of freeing them from dictatorship? 555.

@ Michael Pacholek: Keep dreaming.,,

Definitely not "dog"gerel poetry in your verses. The things he wags are his finger and tongue -- at us. 555
