Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This parody was inspired by MooRocca's O Debt. With debt comes the repo.
O Repoman. O crap. O my deep debt. My deep debt.
O Repoman. O crap. O my deep debt. My deep debt.
Hi, I'm not home right now. But if you want to leave a
message, just start talking at the sound of the tone.
Hello? This is your banker. Are you there? Have you paid your loan?
Hello? We need the payment? Well you don't have jack, but you still owe.
And I've got a message for you.
Here come the trucks.
So you better be ready. Ready to pay. You can run far away, but we'll
always come. We'll always come.

And I said: OK, Is this all for real? And the voice said:
Here come the men, the men that take.
Here come the men, the men that take.
Here come the men, the men that take.
Here come the trucks.
They're the repo trucks. Made in America.
Hold all your belongings.
And the voice said:
You can beg and plead, but it won't stop or slow these couriers from the
swift relieving of your valuables.

'Cause when your cash runs out, There's always your stuff.
And when your stuff is gone, there's always your home
And when we have your home, There's always the clothes. On you!

Don't take them, trucks, and drive away.
Don't take them, trucks, and drive away.
Straight away to the bank. The auctioning bank. To the bank.
Don't take them, trucks, and drive away.
The savings and cash loan bank. The merciless bank.
To the auctioning bank.

SOTM-455, I got lost at the beginning, but it might be because the first time i heard this song was now. Nice parody though.

[SOTM] DKTOS, but an interesting read nonetheless

Dammit Scathe! That was the most annoying original song I’ve felt obliged to listen to since, well, hollaback girl, though I guess it makes some sense to write a song about evil repo men to a tune where someone is desperately gasping for air for eight and a half minutes! The jury is still out on the parody but I hope I never ever have to listen to the original again! BTW, here’s the link to where I found it so that everyone else can suffer too!

(SOTM) Not bad, not bad at all. I thought I was the only person to do an 'O Superman' parody (but mine was the first EVER) Tooting my own horn here: http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/laurieanderson1.shtml

[SOTM] DKTOS, but as said by Dumb Ass Kid earlier, a interesting read, 5s.

SOTM: DKTOS, sorry, but enjoyable. Don't fear the Repo!

(SOTM) My middle daughter walked into the room as I was listening to the OS and said, "What's that horrible sound?" I said, "A song" She said, "Ugh... it sucks!" I'm sooo glad I inspired the parody and not the OS! :) :)

(SOTM) Only one thing can stop the powers of Repoman --- Kleptonite!

(SOTM) DKTOS and, from the comments, I guess I don't want to but, a good read.

(SOTM) I have to agree with Peter and Melhi's daughter here, that was a truly abysmal OS! (thanks for the link K1, you sadist!) Very good parody though Scathe.

(SOTM) you have to know the OS to fully appreciate this, Scathe (which I do) - or you have to have gone drinking with Laurie Anderson one night (which I have - *chuffed at having the chance to name-drop*) - very biting, which is what parodying is all about

(SOTM) Ha! Nice theme and humorously done, Scathe.

Another DKTOS, I'm afraid (and after Melhi's comment, I don't think I'll be looking it up) - I'll take the pacing as read, though. It's very well written, Scathe: fortunately, we don't get repomen this side of the pond :-)

SOTM--I have to join the DKTOS crowd, Scathe...which I hate to do...=( But...it's a fun read...and I did get some giggles out of it anyway...
Adam Eccleshall - August 28, 2005 - Report this comment
(SOTM) I was blissfully well within the bounds of the DKTOS club until I saw Peter's link. Now there's nearly 8 minutes of my life I'm never getting back (at least I had the sense to stop the noise before it finished).

Admittedly, I couldn't pick up on the humour in this one, so 545 from me.

DKTOS and this hits a little too close to home ;-)
