"Shows I Never Have Seen"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Some by choice, some not. "Room Full of Monkeys" shout-out in the last regular verse. This song also bears a resemblance to the classic "Tunes I Wish They Could Un-Sing" by Stuart McArthur.
Western in Fifties called "Have Gun Will Travel."
Held out of reruns due to legal battle.
Richard Boone, gunfighter who used his bean
on a TV show I have never seen.

"Thunderbirds," British show about space puppets.
"Fraggle Rock," weird show, an offshoot of Muppets.
"South Park," about foul-mouthed dumb pre-teens.
These are some shows that I never have seen.

I've seen a girl who I think is quite special.
Cooking girl, Miss Ray, the cute one named Rachel.
As a result, I don't watch Paula Deane.
I'm sure she's good, but her show I've not seen.

When my remote
I've been clicking
on the shows I've had
don't be upset at the shows I've not seen.
That may not mean they... are bad!

Tony Soprano, a mobster unstable.
HBO I don't have on system cable.
He's never whacked anyone on my screen.
He's on a show that I never have seen.

No HBO means there's no "Six Feet Under."
I know, you might think that this is a blunder.
"Curb Your Enthusiasm," don't be mean.
That's one more show that I never have seen.

I don't have Showtime, so shows I'm not handling
include "The L Word" and comedies Shandling.
Never seen "Weeds" or the "Queer As Folk" queens.
These are some shows that I never have seen.

When my remote
I've been clicking
on the shows I've had
don't be upset at the shows I've not seen.
That may not mean they... are bad!

I used to watch "The Commish" with Mike Chiklis.
His FX show, "The Shield," still remains click-less.
At least, on my TV, it's never been.
It's still a show that I never have seen.

PBS shows such as "Nature" and "NOVA"?
Drag on too long, and I wish they were ovah.
I'll get more from a science magazine.
Won't watch again those shows I had once seen.

Don't like that dreck called "American Idol."
Simon needs Valium, maybe some Midol.
His is one clock that sure needs to be cleaned.
Proud to say, his show I never have seen!

When my remote
I've been clicking
on the shows I've had
don't be upset at the shows I've not seen.
That may not mean they... are bad!

Excellence ! Very clever rhyming and phrasing....still, I wonder how you know so much about these shows you say you've never seen :)

I haven't watched too many of these either, but I have fond memories of the Thunderbirds. "Calling International Rescue!"

I like your ode to the vast wasteland. Channel 5s.

Well, I know you hate South Park (why I don't know) but The Shield is a great show, and one of the few on past midnight that doesn't suck. I wish I had caught the earlier seasons. Like the "Nova/ovah" couplets, and "Simon needs Valium, maybe some Midol." - that alone was worth 5s.
