Original Song Title:

"Fascination"

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Procrastination"

Parody Written by:

Adagio

The Lyrics

It's procrastination, I know,
It's my plight but splendid I swear so take heart.
In a passive trance, I just give a dance,
And then I take flight on my way empty-headed.

It was procrastination, I know,
Making me so late I see moonlight above;
I was touched to plan but next moment missed anew.
Procrastination turned sort of.

It was procrastination, I know,
Making me so late I see moonlight above;
I was touched to plan but next moment missed anew.
Procrastination turned sort of.

Ha! Looks like everone but me is procrastinating here! 555!

Oops, in my previous comment I meant to say "everyone", not "everone".

Especially elegant line: "In a passive trance, I just give a dance".

I actually do remember this old chestnut of a tune, I believe it's from my parents' generation. It has a slow and lilting melody, with the pitch going up-and-down-up-and-down on "-a-tion, I-know".

Yea...they took me too much at my word. Thanks, Johnny

yes, for this sort of thing, I now use the term adagioesque - and this truly is - as Johnny said, elegant - 555

Thanks, Stu! :) And thanks again, Johnny...we must have commented at the same time. I didn't see your other one. ;)

I like that term Stu coined, "adagioesque". It describes your style so well and speaks of your unique parody writting ability. This was short, sweet and so "adagioesque".
