The Lyrics

Me:
They are the stupid models of the student individuals
You'll find their bloopers incomprehensible but quite hysterical

Students:
We know the kings of Egypt, they were mummies that's historical

History Teacher:
From Bible Lore to all World War, their errors astronomical

Students:
Well we're very well aquainted too, with matters architectural
Greek coulumbs they were Corinthian, Doric and Ironic,y'all

Geography Teacher:
About geographic studies we find that they are lacking kids..
With many shocking facts about the location of the pyramids!

With many shocking facts about the location of the pyramids
With many shocking facts about the location of the pyramids
With many shocking shocking facts about the location of the pyramids

Students:
We read that the Bible has charicatures and witnesses
Adam and Eve came from an apple tree as told in Guinesses
We're sure our information's accurate and really credible
We are the very models of the student individuals

All Teachers:
For sure, brain matter's vegetable they're no intellectuals
They are the stupid models of the student individuals

Students:
We know the mythic history of Moses from Mount Cyanide
And Solomon (one of David's sons) had five hundred porcupines

Me:
I sing this in hysterics all their mistakes are really so serious

All Teachers:
Ironic we don't find their incongruities hilarious

Students:
We know government of England was a limited mockery
And poisoned with some wedlock was that pushy bastard Socrates
Most the people were alliterate in the time zone midevil..

Me:
Wish we could enroll those students in many a class remedial

All Teachers:
Wish we could enroll those students in many a class remedial
Wish we could enroll those students in many a class remedial
Wish we could enroll those students in many many a class remedial

Students:
Well we also know King Arthur lived in the Age of Shivery,
And then Samuel Morse invented a code for telepathy.
We're sure our information's accurate and really credible
We are the very models of the student individuals

All Teachers:
For sure, brain matter's vegetable they're no intellectuals
They are the stupid models of the student individuals

English Teacher:
In fact, do you know the story Romeo and Juliet?

Students:
Why yes and that Abraham Lincoln was a great precedent
In Olympic games Greeks hurled the java, ran and threw the biscuits

History Teacher:
No I think that you all meant javelin, ran and threw the discus

Students:
Well we have learnt of William Shakespeare's error-tragedies
And that Hamlet relieved himself in a very long soliloquy
Read the Illiad by Homer who also wrote "Oddity"
In which Ullysses endured the hardship known as Penelope

Students:
In which Ullysses endured the hardship known as Penelope
All Teachers:
I think that what we have is a situation developing
Me:
Just don't get to close or you may find their ignorance enveloping

Students:
All our literary knowledge, Voltaire 'vented 'lectricity
And as for Sir Issac Walton well he invented gravity
We're sure our information's accurate and really credible
We are the very models of the student individuals

All Teachers and I:
For sure, brain matter's vegetable they're no intellectuals
They are the stupid models of the student individuals

The title of the parody is still off a syllable but the lines were fixed to have 16, not 15 (by simply adding the word "the") and a few other minor tweaks. Thanks Tim, Timmy, and Adam.

Very funny parody! it's amazing how many parodies can be made using the same rhymes for each parody of this song. It's also amazing that this song being so old, an explosion of these parodies just started withing the last couple of months...
5's here...

W.C. Fields laid the first transatlantic cable. Pyramids were built in Burbank, but they had to go because they violated building codes.

DKTOS, but this was funny, especially after reading JD's post that you linked us to...

That was hilarious - especially Queen Elizabeth exposing herself to the troops and they cheered (in the link). That brought tears to my eyes! Red, I believe this is one of your finest parody's simply b/c you had to do some heavy duty research to pick out the right bloopers to ryhme and organize! These 5's are for you!!!

(ABC) Pace is integral for a MMG parody. Great structure with the idea, though.

(ABC) Funny one, Jack!

(T) lots of funny stuff, here Red Ant, and a huge effort, I'm tipping. I'm glad you fixed up the pacing problem in the title because I clicked on it wondering how I was going to get around that. Also, I managed to make every line pace, but sometimes I had to stress syllables that I intuitively wouldn't, which is my problem, but it prevented me from appreciating all the comic gems in a free-flowing way - overall, though a clever, well-informed (!!) piece - 555

Thanks Agrimorfee, Pat and Stu. Stu, yeah a few problems for me as well (the "biscuits/discus" line). Sticking to the bloopers listed in the thread and not making up my own was the hardest part.

(ABC) With so much fuel to work with, I guess this parody pretty much wrote itself, Antman. Great job of putting it all together. 555

(T) Great job working all the bloopers in, Jack. My sister is a teacher and I have seen a lot of these, and others like them. Funny stuff!

Good job fitting so much into it, Red Ant. Excellent effort throughout. I especially liked 'mockery/Socrates' and I too think the greeks are quite ironic in their architecture.
Larry - December 26, 2005 - Report this comment
Hilarious.

Hee...I never get tired of reading stuff like the material that inspired this parody. Again, I'm always wowed by the folks who try to conquer this one...and you've done a nice job here...=)

Thanks Josh 2, Rick C, Scathe, Kristof, Johnny D, Dee, Jeff, 2nz, Larry and Arwen. Josh 2, to answer that question: Not *everyone* does this song. But it is fun to do in that masochistic way that tends to drive one crazy.
