The Lyrics

Surprise! It turns out that "Frosty, The Snowman" was written as a response to TOS. So of course, we've posted a parody of "Frosty" today, as well. :) More on the two in the intro to that one.
You know Dasher’s a Hasher
And Prancer should smoke less
Comet’s all lit up on Alice B. Toklas
But do you recall
The most stoned-out reindeer of all?

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
Had an alcoholic's nose
And if you ever saw it,
You would think he, cocaine, blows

Father and Mother Reindeer
Cared and tried to intervene
Wanted to see poor Rudolph
Sober, substance-free, and clean

Then one fogged-out Christmas eve
Santa came to say,
"Rudolph, one more DUI:
"We'll be eating reindeer pie"

Santa had made his pain clear
On him, his invective, poured
Fin'lly, he got poor Rudolf
Into Clinic: Betty Ford!

[interlude]

Seven weeks in rehab scene
Lots of glam was seen:
Linsdsey Lohan; Britney Spears
Drugged-out, dopey "pop" reign dears!

Then all the other reindeer
Welcomed his return with glee
No more: red-nosed, was Rudolph
Done with drug dependency!

A 555 proof Christmas parody!!!

Maybe if my Rudolf had gone into rehab he could have overcome his anger management problems and not lost his temper, resulting in a murderous rampage. Looking forward to more parodies from the dynamic duet in 2010.

I usually ignore parodies about drugs, but welcome back anyway.

Welcome back Rhynamic Duo! Yer in fine form (cue 'Turtle In The Sky With Fiddles...)

I love these Christmas novelty songs (and appreciate the interesting back stories). So when a 'high-concept' premium parody featuring 'Rudolph The Red--' er, 'comes to town'--well it's just the 'nos(e)trum' I'd been craving!

BTW: Still searching for entendrewes in "...eating Rudolph pie..."!

AFW: Thanks for the effusive comment! .. Heavy burden on us, if your lament is true, but we're tough .... and when I get my tax stuff done and FG is through with football, weeee'll be baaaack!

adagio: Thanks.

Old Man Ribber: Nice to see you, and your funny comments, again, too!

Mark Scotti: LOL! Thanks!

Patrick: Rudolf Hess? ... lost me on the reference, unless just a personal friend of yours. Thanks for v/c, and as for the last ... count on it!

2Eagle: Thanks for making an exception for our sakes. Appreciate the welcome.

TJC: LOL at "Lucy"! ... and glad "someone" likes the back stories :) ... Another LOL at "nos(e)trum, but no, nothing in that pie but the threat that appears. Sorry to disappoint... (guess it's moi's fault for establishing the expectation. Thanks for v/c!

Merry Belated Christmas and Happy 2010 to you, FG and TT! I get it about "red-nosed" when Rudolph sniffed cocaine. I bet that's how his nose got red and glowed in the first place. LOL!! Today we hear shocking news of our favorite Christmas characters with substance problems. I echo all comments above. Getting high with 5's!

That explains the 'white out' I heard about at the North Pole. Ol' Rudolph was doing some serious lines. And nice touch with the Ford clinic. Here's a triple-nickel bag for you.

Christie Marie M: And the same greetings and wishes to you! Thanks for v/c!

Warren Baker: LOL! ... 'n thanks for the v/c/b (bag)!

AFW: Thank you... you're such a deer! ;)

Adagio: Many thanks- glad you liked it. :)

OMR: Cheers to you, too! (Next round's on me, k?...) ;)

Mark Scotti: We'd *all* be flying high after that, wouldn't we? ;) Thanks for v/c.

Patrick: I remember that one! Yes... "this is Rudy's brain on drugs-- Any questions?" ;)

2Eagle: Small wonder. I'm sure WI left you with enough "snow" memories to last a lifetime! ;) (And our message is, of course, a positive one.) Thanks for v/c. :D

TJC: "Tommy drawing nigh with rhymin's"... 'Tis the story of life these days, so count on many more to come! As for the "Rudolph pie", the "nose like a cherry" was St. Nick-- I don't *even* want to consider the implications of that one! :D

CMM: The secret was leaked to the Drudge Report, despite tight media security at the North Pole. We are just happy to be able to record a happy ending. ;) Thanks, as always-- and a very happy 2010 to you, too! :D

Warren: LOL @ "white out"! And thanks for v/c. :D

A wonderful companion piece to "Frosty"...Betty Ford was a real giggle. Huge 555 for this wigged out ditty. 555

Kristof Robertson: I never thought Betty was that funny, only husband Gerald ... oh, wait, you meant the song ref... ;-) Thanks for v/c!

Last month or thereabouts I had a "Rudolf" parody to the tune of "Tom Dooley". Rudy lost his temper and went postal on the other reindeer. Although Rudolf Hess might not be a bad idea for some future epic. Security Code is LMG (Light Machine Gun).
