push aside that curly hair
no it's not an entrance hall
think I need some surgery
is it prolapse, or did it fall?
pleasure's gone from deep inside
cry to sleep most every night
put a stitch or two in there
and help me make it good and tight
when my husband calls my name
the echo comes right out again
when he says he lives me still
my desire he cannot fill
though he's big, and broad and wide,
it's not enough to satisfy
surgery is my last try
help me make it good and tight
no it's not an entrance hall
think I need some surgery
is it prolapse, or did it fall?
pleasure's gone from deep inside
cry to sleep most every night
put a stitch or two in there
and help me make it good and tight
when my husband calls my name
the echo comes right out again
when he says he lives me still
my desire he cannot fill
though he's big, and broad and wide,
it's not enough to satisfy
surgery is my last try
help me make it good and tight

Kris Kristofferson wrote it, and the biggest hit version (by far) is by Ray Price. I don't know where you got Freddy Fender. Maybe Kristofferson wrote it ON a Fender (guitar). Oh yeah, not one of your better ones.
How did this sneak past the censor? (giggle) Now the version I remember was by a woman named Sammie something-or-other in about 1971. Don't remember Ray Price doing it...
Meriadoc caught me in a "Whoops!" Sammie Smith was the singer. Ray Price, at around the same time, had a hit with another great Kristofferson song, "For the Good Times." Elvis also had really good versions of both songs, though neither was a hit. As Time magazine would say, Mike regrets the error.
