The Lyrics

Bird = prison time

I can’t stop lovin’ moo…so I’ve udders in mind
My thoughts are mammary…for, oh, they’re sublime
I can’t stop wantin’ moo…I’ll use Bess today
She has TB, an’ lice, but seems the best to lay

Lows from the byres…must rendezvous
Not long to go…Bess wants me too
Bad luck is mine…there’s another part
Design of stud bull…now I’m gonna dart

I can’t stop lovin’ moo…so I’ve bird on my mind
I’ve heard they’re jailin’ me…for my bovine crime
I can’t stop wantin’ moo…a wife in dismay
An’ now she’s left my life, it seems, as of today

Andy - Nice job! You milked this for all it was worth. First sheep...now cattle...what's next? To use a cliche from B-movie Westerns - "Something's spooking the horses!:. ;D

Not quite what I had in mind. I was thinking this was about having a nice steak, or drinking... someone's... milkshake! Slurrrrp! Liking meat, that's why Pamela Anderson and Persia White broke up with me.

I guess that's the LITERAL take of the old addage "Why go out for milk when you have a cow at home?"...LOL!

Isn't "Bird" also = female (human) in en-BR? (Not so popular in en-US.) Never heard it here related to prison, except as "jailbird" = inmate. .... Well, as surfers say, Cow-a-buggah!! [1] 555.

[1] "Cowabunga" = 60s shout of joy among surf crowd, esp. @ good waves.

@ Mark Scotti: I think it's "Why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free" (anti-marriage sentiment), and "Why go out for hamburger when you have steak at home? (compliment to one's wife; at times reversed to make it an insult.) But your way was funnier!

Thanks all for v's & c's

WC JIN - Very short. The tracks only lasts 2:25.

OMR - ha ha, don't encourage me.

Michael P - We all know Pammy but I had to Wiki Persia White (very nice!). I thought you'd be OK with them dumping you - leaves the coast clear for C Z-J!

Mark - Yes...LOL

TT - Yes, bird = female. For jail time, it comes from Cockney rhyming slang. Birdlime/time. Like china plate/mate, apples and pears/stairs etc
