Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Going out to Claude Prez and all Muppet fans
I'm beginning to sound a lot like Grover
Everywhere I go--
If my voice is a little strained,
Let me to you explain:
That little froggy's in my throat, you know?

I'm beginning to act a lot like Grover--
Order what you want!
I can bring you some lentil stew
Or arrroz con pollo, too--
It's a restaurant!

I've got a purplish cape, it's attached at the nape
And a "G" stuck onto my chest--
I squeak and I squawk when I speak and I talk
And my eyes are googly, at best--
I'm furry, cute, obnoxious and I never get depressed!

(Monster chorus sings:)
"He's beginning to fantasize like Grover--
Thinks he'll save the world!
Slamming into brick walls and poles,
Flying out of control--
So watch out, little boys and little girls!"

I'm beginning to feel a lot like Grover--
Pick me up and then
You can hug me and we can play
Every blue and furry day
Till the program's end--
It's ME, Grover, your frieeeeend!

MP please tell me that you know who Grover is. If you don't I can't imagine what sort of childhood you had. As a past number 1 Sesame Street fan I can't give this anything else but 555. I loves the part about brivk walls and poles. Brings back so many good memories.

Johnny D: how do you know what I look like? Thanks, anyway!
Hey Rick, how's everything and then some? I saw your MILF song and it's a classic. No one plays with the gigolo theme better than you, I think. No Espresso tonight, but I should go back soon. Say hi to Mari for me. What about planning a Punvention for next summer?
Billy, I'm very flattered by your comment. The way I do it is to write almost every day, and to write down about five to ten crappy ideas for every song that I submit to this site. I'm my own worst critic, basically. When I have no ideas, I don't write, which explains my hiatus this summer.
Agri, I'm definitely interested in the Sesame Street stuff for my son, who is a serious collector and fanatic. I went with him to NYC in June and met a bunch of his buddies, who call themselves the "Tough Pigs," hardcore Muppet fans. We all had a freaked-out, wiggy blast, he went to see Avenue Q the musical, and we even visited Castle Belvedere where part of the Count's sequences were filmed.
Michael, sorry about your confusion, but any Grover fan knows his incarnations as waiter, professor, and of course Super Grover.
Blondie, I'm so glad this brought back some good memories. Someday we'll find it, that rainbow connection....d;:^)
