The Lyrics

FINALLY...Ages in AmIRight is nearly over. This is for the last event., about a topic close to my heart: school! And I'd be lying if this wasn't based partly on myself.
One eye on the clock, wait for the end
Of school, watch the clock with my best friend
Nathan, keep watching the clock, 'till it's 3:10
We watch the clock until it is hometime

We been here all day, bored as hell
But we'll be gone when we hear that bell
We have an eye upon the clock today
And when it hits 3:10 we'll run away
We're going home, muck around and sing and dance and play

It's not just 3:10, no sir-ee
Because our lunch starts at 12:50
We keep our eyes upon the clock for now
And when it strikes that time, I'll show you how
We let the stupid teacher know that we can now go out

[Lunch-break-style musical interlude!]

When the lunch bell goes, we get depressed
It's more waiting, so we get stressed
We gots an eye upon that clock all day
It's better than learning 'What's 3 times a?'
We all got eyes on the clock, espec'lly me and Craig

When it's three-oh-nine, we just don't care
What the teacher's said, it's not our fare
We got bothe eyes upon the clock ahead
We countin' down the time starting from 10
Until it's time, end of school, so we can get to bed

[Crazy-screaming-school-kids-runnin'-away-from-school-style musical interlude!]

Now we're all at home, all slackin' off
But we watch that clock for six o'clock
We still got eyes upon the clock 'till tea
And then we still watch it 'till 'Just Shoot Me!'
You see we're all just a bunch of time-obsession freaks
For those who aren't too sure about what this is about, it's about keeping your eyes on the clock waiting for school to finish. For me it finishes 3:10. Oh, BTW, all of the times here are said the shorthand way, i.e. 'three-ten' for '3:10'. Got it?

(Ages). . .well this is the last round, so it's almost figuratively "3:10". . . it was a good idea for a parody, fairly well executed. . .pacing was a bit tough at spots, but all and all very good.

For you school may get out at 3:10, but for me school gets out at 5:55

Some of the rhymes and pacing were a minute or two off, but the subject was funny and certainly on the minds of students!

(Ages) Y'know, I never liked school. But it does beat getting out of work at 6:00 or so. Well, except for today, when I leave at 1:00 because the Stock Market closes early. Yay for holidays! Wait...I get a day and a half, but all the kids have been out for a month, and aren't even back in school for another month-and-a-half? ARGH! Rotten kids. Here's some 5's anyway Conq. ::mumbles about "kids these days":::-)
