Song Parodies -> "The Girl With Emphysema"

Original Song Title:

"Girl From Ipanema"

Original Performer:

Astrud Gilberto

Parody Song Title:

"The Girl With Emphysema"

Parody Written by:

Colin Bailey

The Lyrics

Gizza smoke!
Her fingers are stained, her teeth are yellow
Her hair is lifeless, her skin is sallow
And as she passes
Each one she gasses
goes… aargh

A cloud of smoke drifts low above her
as she stops to light another
And as she passes
Each one she gasses
goes… aargh

The girl with emphysema keeps smoking
While everyone around her is choking
And as she passes
The pile of ashes
just grows

Ooh and I know that it's tacky,
To mention she nicked all my baccy.
My lighter and my Rizlas too
disappeared when she went to the loo

Coughs and splutters, chokes and sneezes.
With every breath in strangled wheezes
And as she passes
Each one she gasses
goes… aargh

(SOTM) Well, I've said in the past I am not a smoker and don't understand why anyone knowing the risks and everything involved would smoke. I thought this parody had a very good point. . .I obviously found it more serious than funny, but a good parody nonetheless.

SOTM - It's not too funny, more disturbing, but a good point. 5-4-5

(SOTM) Brilliant title sub and great parody, and funny too. Rizlas? You're smoking some of that special stuff, eh? =)

SOTM - I think I've seen many people like her in the city. Seems like every other person in SF smokes.
