Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Sponge and Jelly, Kirch, Jimbo and Stacy
Early one morning when
At Dough Roller they ordered pitchers
A little before ten
Sponge ate something, looked like, used tampon with eggs and ralph
As Jimbo stood up to hit the bathroom, to get a hold of himself
He turned and said, "You see that couple, at yonder table? Something don't look right
The one on the left might have breasts but...then the other might
Both have long hair with soft curls
But tell me, which one's the girl?"

Same drunk guys
And that girl
Late that afternoon
Sponge went behind some old sub shop and
Went into the bathroom
Jelly came, blocked the door closed
With a baseball bat
Sponge swung at it with a broom but Jelly...grabbed the broom away
And Jelly said "While you're stuck we drank your six-pack, scarfed your steak and cheese
Feel free to drop the kids at the pool
Just don't play with the bees
Give the toilet a whirl
But Sponge, try not to hurl"

Stumblin guys
Passed out girl
Hurricanes for laughs
Dude spilled his drink on Kirch so dude gets drenched...with a Big Ass Draft
Jimbo came back to the bar, lookin for a fight
Poor Jimbo could barely stand so, Kirch called it a night
And Kircher said, "Let's get our drunk asses home now
Pass out and sleep till ten
We'll throw the nerf football round the hot tubs
While we get drunk again!
See how the day unfurls
Hey Jim, which one's the girl?"

Flash to Seacrets
Was telling the waitress
We beat them home and away...

Intresting parody.... Certainly I can say that even though I have no idea what's going on except for some guy named Sponge getting locked in a bathroom
Jeff Reuben - November 04, 2009 - Report this comment
Yeah, there's only a small group of people who will really get this one :)

I find myself wondering if the real AFW even wrote that comment. In my experience with him on the site, I've never known him to be so pompous and rude as to leave that kind of a comment. That being said...if it was the real AFW...I hope he's just having a bad day and snaps out of it...because even if you didn't like the parody...that was OVERLY harsh...seriously.

BUT...if it's NOT the real AFW...what the crap is with the imposter commenters lately? I had one just yesterday. I mean, come ON. It's the freaking internet. If you're not brave enough to post things under your own name here...(which doesn't even have to be your own name...but your own screen name at least)...how sorry of a life do you live when you're not online? Sad.

Finally...about the parody. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not in the small circle of those who will "get it." It paced alright for me, though. And I have to know...you're Sponge, right? ; )

Um...is that really Alvin? Maybe it is. I hate to be overly paranoid, but in over five years on the site, I've noticed that he generally doesn't capitalize his name in the comment threads.

Long story short...I think the impersonator is trying to back himself up.

And if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. That's fine. And I don't have any problem with folks saying it doesn't pace well...that's their call. My issue was with the "wasting our time" comment. That's crap.

Thank you Arwen. If that is your real name ;)

Yes, I believe we have a troll here, Arwen.

Arwen: Another thing you might point out is that Airfarcewon never comments under the name AFW but under the name "Airfarcewon". Thus you are most likely correct in assuming that he's an imposter.
Andria - November 04, 2009 - Report this comment
I too couldn't get the gist of this parody, but I still know the OS well enough and find it funny enough to give it 5s. Matthias: Airfarcewon submits parodies as "Airfarcewon" but comments as AFW; he has done that for years now that he is a well-known and -liked writer here. Arwen: I agree that Alvin doesn't capitalize his name when commenting, and I agree that there is a troll amongst us. That comment also sounds nothing like Alvin, likewise with the bogus "AFW" comment. And yes, this is the real Andria. I don't know of anybody other than moi using that name around here, and I don't know who would have the balls to use my name and yet not use my distinctive style of commenting.
The Real AFW - November 04, 2009 - Report this comment
I do comment under AFW...but I did not make the comment above....and I'm sure alvin didn't do the commenting there, either...thanks, Arwen for knowing that if I did make adverse criticism..it would be with more tact and courtesy ..and also thanks to Andria..for noting the same....My first experience with such a game player...a very low trick, indeed..

AFW (the real one). My apologies...obviously I was reacting to the comment above, and not to you :)

I enjoyed this parody very much...it was funny and entertaining and i think it plays to the original song perfectly...i like to read parodies throughout my day at school and this one was my fav of the day. I hope to see more great work from you...thanx!!!

You know how you would say only a small group of people would get this one? Well, the only line that I got was "feel free to drop the kids at the pool", because I sort of heard that phrase in one of those South Park episodes, except instead of "kids" she says "friends". And about those characters in the song, are they from a movie or TV, or did you make those people up? Well, I like the parody anyways. 5's!
