The Lyrics

Originial lyrics here. Although "Blue" was/is listed as a rare 1989 Alice in Chains demo, the song was actually written/recorded in 1993 by a band named Thread - I presume by their listings this song is correctly called "Aviary Garlands".
[intro]

Wonder now.... what will be?
In my mind.... shattered dreams
Hear them call.... meaning isn't found
Spend some time..... in my hell.....

Are these faces, feelings.... strange.....
Waiting, watching, wanting all, you see.....

Many thoughts live in me
One that swallows its pain
Some sincere....
Some not near.....
Sane............

Words can teach.... but I should have known
Something all along was not right....
Stare at me.... don't believe....
Mirrors can deceive.....

So false and baseless, dealings... same.....
Shading, warping, haunting peacefully......

Every thought lives in me
One is laughter... some days
One that heals....
One that deals....
Shame...........

[solo]

Heavy thoughts live in me
Some that can not be named
All the while........
Still the wild's.......
Untamed............

DKTOS on this, Jack, but I don't seem to need the OS. I paid more attention to the words...powerful and full of feeling (wish I'd done it). 5's

Aggy's V song wins on the educational level, yours wins on the poetry level. Like Aggy's not super hilarious (Not funny at all actually) but it was very deep and even haunting.

(ABC4V)

The ref to the mirror reminds me of a Futurama episode that takes place in a haunted house where Bender sees a binary number on a sort of apparition. He is asked what it means - he replies that it is gibberish until he sees it in the mirror and runs in a panic when he realizes the binary converted to decimal is the number 666. Subtle just like this parody. Well done.

(ABC) The author of "Aviary Garlands" should be proud of what you did to his song. Seems like you channeled Adagio on this one. Neat stuff.

(ABC) You are going to have to call me and explain this one to me, I knew from your intro when you told me you were entering it it wasn't going to be funny, but I have to admit, I'm a bit lost. . .

I loved the poetic tone of this, Jack. Sort of introspective and raw. And, the word "view" never appears in the lyric...which I like...
I also like the use of "..."

(ABC) yes, alvin got it right first up, Jack, with "haunting" - hauntingly poetic and a little sad - adagio would love this - 555
