The Lyrics

On a London train, I noticed the announcements said the train was head for 'Blondon' - obviously meaning London. I've done another Parody about this hilarious Blondon mishap - Blondon King's Cross (Fire On The Cross)
Guess what we're going to do?
To Potters Bar, go to the tube
Hasn't changed, haven't much to say
But man, I still think them trains are crazy

I was asking for my way around
How to get to the Underground
Told me I had to go downstairs
Driving all the deisels crazy

It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
She said
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar

You know that chick that used to sit alone
Every night she'd be on the train looking very drone
Man when I tell you she was cool, I got her phone
Now I'll call her daily

And that time over at Islington
Well this chick got off and she left the station
Man we just followed her to her home
If that chick don't want to know, forget her

It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
I said
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar

Spread the word: we are
Back in Potters Bar

You spread the word, we are!

Friday night we'll be dressed to kill
Down at Platform Seven's grill
The drink will flow and blood will spill
And if the boys want to fight, you'd better let them

That jukebox in the corner blasting out my favorite song
The nights are getting warmer, it won't be long
Won't be long till summer comes
Now that the boys are in London

It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
Spread the word, we are
Back at Potters Bar
It's Blondon Potters Bar
It's Blondon, yeah! It's Blondon, yeah!

It's Blondon Potters bar again
Been hangin' down at Wagn
It's Blondon Potters bar again

I don’t mind seeing the occasional line or two or even three from an original left in a parody, in modest proportions it can add to the humour etc, thus so far so good. Though the more you leave the more you gotta (In My Humble Opinion) put into pacing on those lines you do change, and on some lines here you’ve sacrificed that for some reason (rhymes, words you wanted in or whatever the reason might have been). It’s your parody, and your decision of course, so I’m just saying that it didn’t really work for me, and others may come forward with a different opinion. Anyway, glad to see that you took my advice to write a ”Blondon” followup to a better known song.
