I don't know if "Ender's Game" is the best book ever, but I'll agree it's among the candidates. It's one of those you just don't put down until you've read it thrugh. May I recommend "Startide Rising" by David Brin for a similar experience? (Yet a completely different book).
Haven't read the book, but sounds interesting (sounds sci-fi, and I'm a sci-fi geek)
