The Lyrics

Song #4 of my "Styx Sings Harry Potter" collection. This one is taken from Order of the Phoenix with Umbridge refusing to teach any of the Hogwarts students a damn thing about how to protect themselves against the Dark Arts.
Riddle's rise has made us scared
And Umbridge won't teach protection
Learning spells that we won't use
We are pointless witch and wizards
Stuck to text books and cauldrons, They're both way too mild
Since this chick is clearly insane
We need a secret place to hide
Screw the grade, Don't want to be slain

Join the D.A.
Join the D.A.
We are the Dumbledore's Army with spells and illusions we're saved
So join the D.A.

The Ministry's full of creeps
Thank god this hideout is vacant
Our powers rise as spells release
To destroy those evil vagrants
While Dark Arts class is boring, We're beaten and bruised
Our wands and our necks nearly broke
And Cho Chang I'm snogging as she cries. Is that strange? I would think so!

Grow with D.A.
Grow with D.A.
Our number of fighters is mountin', Curses bring contusions to prey
You'll grow with D.A.

Then when we're in a fight ain't gonna flee
Spelling as the heads roll!

Pros in D.A.
Pros in D.A.
Take out all of you Death Eaters, Wand's "Expelliarmus-ed" away
Foes we will slay
Foes we will slay
Umbridge might hate all this knowledge received to fight Madam LeStrange
So kids join the D.A.

Books they bite, We aren't prepared
When the Malfoys pack their weapons
Expelliarmus = Disarming Charm
