The Lyrics

For those who don't know, Meriadoc has proposed a contest. When he was transcribing a 17th-century will, he came across the phrase "when the corne is out of Parc an Vinton". This phrase has stayed stuck in his head, so he proposed a contest in which submissions utilized that phrase somewhere in the song. Though my entry is not as good as some ( e.g.,"Stupidly" parody of "Let It Be", ) I gave it a go, anyway.
And methinks the corne doth need a hoe
So wilt thou help me on the morrow?
For I see I have not much to shew
Would'st thou saye a pray'r?

And I dung it
Yea, I dung it

Wilt thou help me on the morrow?
Wilt thou help me till the fertile ground?
And I heare, and I heare
When the lad playeth his musick
Will he playe alone?

When the corne is out of Parc an Venton
So when the latter raine doth fall down
Will I see that all of my stalks are rank and goode?
Dost thou even care?

And I dung it
Yea, I dung it

Wilt thou help me on the morrow?
Wilt thou help me till the fertile ground?
And I see, and I see
The fowls gathereth around me
Will they eat the bud?

(Chorus:) When the corne is out of
Out, out, out of Parc an Venton
We finde it, we finde it, we finde it
When the corne is out of
Out, out, out of Parc an Venton
We finde it, we finde it, we finde it

Wilt thou help me on the morrow?
Wilt thou help me till the fertile ground?
And I heare, and I heare
When the lad playeth his musick
Will he playe alone?

(Repeat Chorus)

We finde it
We finde it
We finde it

Ooops! I called you Michael and I dunno if you are a Michael or not. I must have mixed you up with M. McVey. Anyway, make sure you come over to the meeasge board and vote on the entries when they are posted. I will probably post the voting thread next Monday, as I am giving another week yet for submissions....

Thanks, Duane, Meriodoc. Not my best effort, tho. I was concentrating too much on the archaic-language aspect and forgot to be funny.
