Dan....this was a brilliant opportunity missed. The idea is great: maxing out your credit to "help the economy"....but the execution wasn't there. You really need to get your pacing right; over half the lines didn't scan with the original...try singing your lyrics to the OS, and prune or extend lines as necessary. I know this song is repetitive, but your parody doesn't have to be...the more variation you put in, the more opportunity you have to be funny or to tell a better story. You kinda got stuck on one thought which didn't go anywhere...what I do when I write is brainstorm as many funny scenarios as I can, and jot 'em down...THEN I try to find ways of using rhyme and meter to fit them into a song structure.

I hope you don't think I'm being unnecessarily critical, but if you can get the execution to match your ideas, you'll be on a winner! Peace
