The Lyrics

If you DKTOS, CLICK HERE. I wrote this parody sometime in May 2005. I never posted it because I didn't find it that funny at the time. I still don't, but my views on the war have changed since then: a few ten thousand more deaths, injuries, an economy busting war budget and a recession tends to make one rethink things. The war in Iraq is completely unwarranted and utterly pointless, and it'll take decades to undo the shit this maladministration has caused. Those right of center please note that if Bush were a Democrat this parody would read the same as it does - left or right, calling Bush "highly incompetent" is about the best compliment I can give him.
~21 seconds of peace, then all hell breaks loose~

I'm slammin' on the President
His chokes and errors
Devil and a liar
Wish he'd disappear
yeah yeah yeah

One minute kill the browns
Dubya's ment-al-ly in-sane
Another mother's soldier's life's down the drain,
no no no

(Planes flyin') Bomb 'em all
(Troops fightin') Kill 'em all
(Troops dyin') Dubya's fault
(Just count it up) In the Iraq death toll
(Planes flyin') Bomb 'em all
(Troops fightin') Kill 'em all
(Tanks comin') Shoot 'em all
(We're adding more) To the Iraq death toll

Sick in his head, sick of your mouth
And you can't hear a word we say
Id-i-ot, not like he gives a shit,
no no no
He's got no class, but he will
F**k up everything
And we await his next big mistake,
woe woe woe

(Planes flyin') Bomb 'em all
(Troops fightin') Kill 'em all
(Kids dyin') Dubya's fault
(More body bags) For the Iraq death toll
(Planes flyin') Bomb 'em all
(Troops fightin') Kill 'em all
(Tanks comin') Shoot 'em all
Just chalk it up... To the Iraq death toll

~short break~

(Brick headed) Like a wall
Brick headed
(Thick headed) Screw us all
Thick headed

(Planes flyin') Bomb 'em all
(Troops fightin') Kill 'em all
(Kids Dyin') Dubya's fault

(Ships sailin') Launch 'em all
(Planes flyin') Kill 'em all
(Troops fightin') Shoot 'em all
Just tack them on...
To the Iraq death toll
Iraq death toll
Iraq death toll
Iraq death toll
Iraq death toll

~short peace break~

Arrrgh!

~short violent solo~

Arrrgh!

Nothing like some good heavy metal banjo, is there. Obscure OS here (although I know it), and I never knew what the hell he was saying in it anyway.
Well, lets see if this stirs things up a little around here. It's been remarkably politically silent since Linda got the boot.
alvin - April 16, 2008 - Report this comment
nope, not funny, but true and well written
Matthias - April 16, 2008 - Report this comment
Less than a year and he's gone!!! I seriously think he's going to go down in history as the worst president that America has ever had, at least I hope, because I don't want to picture a president who is worse than Bush. Awesome original song!!!

That's what they said about Truman decades ago.

It's sad...so sad.
Not only was this said about Truman, but it was also, almost word for word, said about Nixon.

And Guy, if you see this, I thank all those who served in all of these difficult situations.

Thanks McKludge, Alvin, Matthias, Max and IB.

McKludge: It's good to know you know TOS. Not many do b/c it never got airplay for obvious reasons. It's got to be Soundgarden's fastest piece as well.

As far as stirring things up, I doubt it. People are free to post whatever reactions/opinions they have to this parody. No matter what they may be, I'm not going to type essay-length rants and rebuttals to them. =)

Alvin: Thanks. Though I usually go for funny, sometimes I need to flat out vent, even in the area of politics.

Matt: I'm not well enough versed in the previous presidents' shortcomings to know if Bush will go down as the worst, but I somehow doubt it. He will probably make the top (or I should say bottom) five list.

Max: So, what did you think of the parody?

IB: True that Truman and Nixon has lower approval ratings than Bush, Bush will not be remembered kindly by the history books in any area.

I, too, thank all that have served in foreign conflicts to preserve our freedoms, but I certainly don't approve of this war, which has done exactly the opposite of making the world a better place.

My father served in Viet Nam, and while he very rarely talks about it, he did tell me about a month ago over dinner a story of a sniper team that came to his unit. They had their targets picked out and in sights, but were not cleared to fire by the 'higher-ups'. They left four days later, not having engaged the enemy. He knew then that Viet Nam was pointless. Wars are very messy and very bad, but having a half-assed war like we have in Iraq is going to be a total loss, a no-win situation. An immediate and complete withdrawal is impossible and always has been since one was never conceived of in the first place.

I echo most of the above comments.

Well I agree with the sentiment of the parody, but I wasn't laughing my butt off--but that's a good thing since you said yourself you don't think it's funny. . .Good piece as far as a write and political points.

What I think? Great effort, remember Pacholek's parodies tends to leans far away and it still doesn't mean he's not a great parody artists.

I know some Vietnam vets as well as veterans from Desert Storm, Desert Fox, Haiti (1994), Somalia and other wars and many of them say that Iraq is another Vietnam - pointless. Your parody ain't funny (war never is) but you hit the nail on the head. I wish the whole nation wasn't so brickheaded and didn't listen to all the lies. Magnificent parody. 5s all around.
