JAB, I've lost count of these Spells after I wrote more than 825 of them!!! Good to see that you're still around! 555!
Actually, Rob, there is a way to get an exact count of all the IPASOYs you've done. Just go to the Author Extended Info link, click on "Original Performer" or "Original Song" link to line them up in alphabetical order. Then you use the information in the bottom right hand corner to compute the number where a certain song starts and where it ends. You dont have to count each and every one of them, in other words ...... So according to that, your IPASOYs start at #1204 and end at #2006 for a total of 802. JAB's start at #3029 and end at #3578 for an IPASOY-ian total of 549. So together you two have 1351 IPASOYs, which may, in fact, constitute a majority of all IPASOYs ....... But I pity the fool who overlooks my own 5-parody contribution to the IPASOY-an parodic ourvre, to include the much beloved "If Buckwheat Sang IPASOY."
I have delved into the casting of "Spells" on a few occasions, like 12 + at least one under my pseudonym. Includes one in Spanish and one in Chinook Jargon. I also wrote "Twotef and Ipasoy" as a tribute to the most common long and short OS to inspire everyone at AIR. Also look for "Jay Hawkins" and "Jay Hawkins' Spell". I guess Barney the Dinosaur is out, but IPASOY will be around for a spell.
