"Captain Planet and the Planeteers" was a late 1980s/early 1990s animated action show that was broadcast on TBS in the USA. The basic plot was of five environmentally conscious young people from five different continents—Kwame from Africa, Wheeler from North America, Linka from the Soviet Union, Gi from Asia, and Mati from South America—using their five rings bearing their respective powers (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Heart, respectively) to summon the titular hero in their struggle to battle with vicious, destructive forces bent on turning the world into something much worse than Godzilla would ever do to a big city.
Now, a disaster invades all the Earth.
The environment is doomed. What could be worse?
Well, five young people are willing to help.
They've got powerful rings used to fight hell.
By their powers combined (by their powers combined)
Someone comes just in time. (Someone comes just in time.)
Captain Planet saves the day. (Five, four, three, two, one.)
He takes villains far away.
Captain Planet says, "Okay." (Thank him when he's done.)
And pollution's gone. You may all go home.
The Planeteers see pollution on [the] coast.
An alien force haunts the world like ghosts.
When things get hectic, the teens use their rings
And their hero comes again—the bravest of things.
When the villains don't care, there is someone who cares.
Captain Planet saves the day. (Five, four, three, two, one.)
He takes villains far away.
Captain Planet says, "Okay." (Thank him when he's done.)
And pollution's gone. You may all go home.

(Repeat ad-lib and fade out)

You might say I am environmentally conscious myself.

DKTOS, but I get the references with ease(not sure I should be proud of it, though), good job.
I remember Captain Planet; I believe his cartoon series premiered in the early 90s. However, I don't know this song too well, but I trust that it's well paced. 555 is what I'm going to give it.
