The Lyrics

I'm at badave.com Based on the official video version See Here for TOS
Some have gold in all of their plates
Iron makes up all of their gates
I don't use none

When you want a canned soda
To help you have some fun
or you want something shiny but you can't afford silver ones
Well don't you frown
Bring prices down

Corrosion resistant
Wont rust easily its true
It is decent for electric
It's good for bottles too
It's all around
Easily found

Copper prices are rising each day
and we know most metals are gray
Though Tin foil can be fun for play
--Aluminum

Great for decoration
Not easily bent
It makes a brawny strainer
be careful, it may dent
It's used in cars, its critical
It's Easy to engrave
and if you buy it as a plate
Do not use it in a microwave

Steel's great for a coaster-okay
and its heavy, so its good for weights
but when you want a metal with grace
Aluminum

Bottles, shovels, Hangers, Foil, Wire, Cans of Duff
Lanterns, statues, coaster, Vases, key-chains, lots of stuff

Aluminum
Aluminum

Pewter models cost arms and legs
and bronze will take all your nest egg
You want something shiny for change
Aluminum

(looks so pretty)

Toasters, TVs, Airplanes, our transport-ate
No need to say, but it does not taste great
But the foil is good for a fun disguise

Though we may think aluminum's light weight
It was once thought to be quite ornate
Washington Monument is topped by it-not surprised

It holds in all of that great taste
(Aluminum)and we can recycle all of its waste
(Aluminum)You can find it all over the place
Aluminum

(You know it 'rocks')

So it may be Gold that you chase
(Aluminum) but in my home you won't find a trace
(Aluminum) May be cheap, but I won't change my ways
Aluminum
(has faded out by now. . .)

Very interesting choice of topic. Makes me want to write on: Luftschwamm and Viktalen, Third Reich exotic metals developed by SS metallugists. The Ho-IX jet flying wing was also made largely of wood, but with a stealth combination of sawdust and charcoal set in a resin matrix that was used as filler material to defeat WW2 radars. The wings leading edges were to coated with DE material also- to trap and disperse radar waves while a stealth paint was to be used to further defeat Allied radars, airborne or ground-based. Food for thought...

(Artistry) Couple of pacing stumbles, but otherwise neat little parody about this fascinating substance you call "aluminum"...wonder if it's anything like aluminium :D 555!

Really TCOP, Aluminium is the same substance as spelled in Britain and Australia, but in America we spell it Aluminum and pronounce it with one last syllable (which is good for me because it makes it fit the parody) Please see http://www.chemicalelements.com/elements/al.html for more info if needed ;)

(Artistry) Now if we could only convince women that aluminum jewelry is desirable. Fun ode to AL.
