The Lyrics

I narrowly avoided colliding with a moose on New Hampshire's Route 115 in the White Mountains several years ago.
Moose are bigger
They're bigger than you
And at night they'll be
On roads that you will go to

If you can see their eyes
Oh no, you're much too close
It's coming up

That's moose in the roadway
That's me swerving in fright
Dodging moose collisions
Trying to keep on the road
And I don't know if I can do it

Oh no, I've swerved too much
I haven't swerved enough

I thought that I heard moose laughing
I thought that I heard moose sing
I think I thought I saw moose fly

Every winter
And every waking hour those
Moose are by the roadside
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a huge headlight-blinded moose ( moose )

Oh no, I've swerved too much
That moose looked up

Consider this
Consider this
The hint of driving safely
Consider this
The swerve that caught me
As my scream wailed

What if all these moose I see
Come flailing around
Now I've swerved too much

I thought that I heard moose coughing
I thought that I heard moose sneeze
I think I thought I heard moose cry

But that was just my scream
That was just my scream

That's moose in the roadway
That's me swerving in fright
Dodging moose collisions
Trying to keep on the road
And I don't know if I can do it

Oh no, I've swerved too much
I haven't swerved enough

I thought that I heard moose laughing
I thought that I heard moose sing
I think I thought I heard moose cry

But that was just my scream
"MOOSE! MOOSE!", I cried!
That was just my scream
Just my scream
Just my scream
SCREAM!
