"Angry Donny (Rumsfeld)"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Poor Mr. Rumsfeld... All those documents that supported weapons of mass destruction claims seem to have disappeared, and those Iraqis are awfully non-compliant toward their saviors.... (insert thick sarcasm here)
Donny, Angry Donny
This is... nation-build from Hell
They wanna kill you
They wanna blow you... away

They could do it to your family
They could do it and without any trace
They could do it with collision
They would hide in a holy place

But either way, either
Either way
They wanna kill you
They wanna blow you... away

They would do it with a mine
They would do it in your face
They have lost all their integrity
Yet we're still just a disgrace

But either way, either
Either way
They wanna kill you
They wanna blow you... away

Donny, Angry Donny
This is... nation-build from Hell
Donny, Angry Donny
This is... nation-build from Hell

They would do it in a church
They would do it any time or place
Well, it's gonna take an angel
To quiet down their rage

But either way, either
Either way
They wanna kill you
They wanna blow you... away

They would poison all the water
They would fight you on dry land
They would do it with instruments
All the stuff given by our own hands

But either way, either
Either way
They wanna kill you
They wanna blow you... away

Donny, Angry Donny
This is... nation-build from Hell
Donny, oh geez Donny...

Did your leader know?
When the planes went through them
Where'd our happiness go?
This farce is running us around now
Getting us down now
Where's our surplus now, Donny?
Where has our freedom gone... now?

Donny, Angry Donny
This is... nation-build from Hell
Donny, Angry Donny
Just a... nation-build....

Mephisto, congrats on being the first submitter of a Poe song to amiright.com!! I have toyed with doing one for some time. I don't usually cater to topical parodies, but it worked really well for me this time around. A couple good lines of irony abound thorughout. 555

Thanks man... I know a lot of people aren't familiar with Poe, but I just had to do this one. I've noticed that my political parodies sometimes get the lowest ratings, but I suppose that means I've gotten the attention of the people that need to read them. I like to make people think, even if it offends them.

I love Poe, and I love this. My favorite part was the refrain at the end, begining with "Did your leader know?" It's brilliant...

Thanks Ash... :) I'll try and vote on your stuff as well, since we all lost a good chunk of our votes a little while ago....
