The Lyrics
The Last Kiss
We were out on a date in my daddy's car
We hadn't driven very far
It started to rain then it started to snow
I wanted to see how fast the Caddy would go
At a hundred and twenty we hit the bend
Rubber still burning and we started to spin
I turned to the left then I turned to the right
But we didn't come back in daddy's Caddy that night
Oh where oh where could my baby be
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven now I've got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world
As we left the road and went into the air
I started saying the Lord's prayer
We were flying along going end over end
I saw the ground coming so I just said "Amen"
I rolled from the wreck with the wheel in my hands
The clutch in my pocket and glass in my glands
I looked for my baby with tears in my eyes
I hugged her I kissed her she said "Goodbye"
Chorus
Now the ambulance came and took us away
But my baby didn't make it she was DOA
She died in my arms and I cried all night long
I had to go home and explain to her mom
I had to go home and explain to my dad
How I murdered my baby and totalled his Caddy
He jumped up and down he cursed and he swore
And I know I'll never ride in daddy's Caddy no more
Chorus
