you have no right to parody other peoples songs people who write real songs work reall hard and put there soul into there music im guessing you are angery becuase you cant write your own songs so you try to make fun of people who do so hows about you write a real song that came from deep within you then if you want to make fun it go ahead becuase its your song not someone elses

Yes - I'm sure this also was Al Yankovic's motiviation as well. And we have every right to write this stuff, at least here in the USA as the constitution guarantees this right. Are you some kind of fascist?

And besides, some of us ARE talented songwriters who do this as a fun diversion to keep our brains working. Try out some of the links to peoples sites before you complain because someone makes fun of your favorite band.

who ya burn front man chris: you're clearly 12, just discovered how "awesome" Pearl Jam is, and feel the need to "protect" their "deep" songs. Trust me, Lame Jam has probably heard much worse by now, and quite deservedly so. So give it a rest. You can't even write a parody, let alone a unique song, so who cares about your pathetic rants?

who ya -- some of us who also write original songs (and sing them, too) would get a real kick out of someone parodying them. And you must be "angery" because you didn't check your spelling first.

I hadn't been notified of this until now. This is funny. Yes, Weird Al who used Staind's "Outside" in a polka, which easily takes the emotion away and makes it funny. Oh, and also "Misery" by Soul Asylum. That is an emotional song, but yet Weird Al made "Syndicated Incorperated" a hilarious song about syndication. So watch before you yak.
