The Lyrics

I thought these two songs would make the ultimate hybrid. Now, here it is for all to see!
**Bus Driver**
Load up the bus, and get to camp
It's fun to hike and to go swim
And if you're bored, you sing some songs
You have to know all of the words

**Camper**
Hello Muddah Hello Faddah
Hello Muddah Hello Faddah
Hello Muddah Hello Faddah
Hello Hello Hello

Hello, Muddah!! Hello, Faddah!!
Here I am at Camp Granada!!
Camp is very entertaining!!
We'll have fun if it stops raining!!

I went hiking!!
With Joe Spivy!!
He developed!!
Poison Ivy!!

Camp
Camp
Camp

My days at camp aren't the best
Please get me out of this mess!!
Our little group has always been
Yeah, this place has a lot of bears

Hello Muddah Hello Faddah
Hello Muddah Hello Faddah
Hello Muddah Hello Faddah
Hello Hello Hello

You remember Leonard Skinner!!
He got pois'ning after dinner!!
All the counselors hate the waiters
And the lake has alligators

How I don't want!!
This to scare ya!!
But my bunkmate!!
Has Malaria!!

Camp
Camp
Camp

Wait, I think that the rain is gone
Oh yeah, I see some campers swimming
Let me come home, if you really miss me
I'll let Aunt Bertha hug and kiss me

Hello Muddah Hello Faddah
Hello Muddah Hello Faddah
Hello Muddah Hello Faddah
Hello Hello Hello

Hello, Muddah!! Hello, Faddah!!

I'm a huge fan of both these songs, and I must say it was giving me a brainache trying to remember the Teen Spirit tune. But a wonderful idea... very original.

Awesome crossover! Reminds me of the "Nirvana Before Christmas", the same idea but with "The NIght Before Christmas" lyrics. On twistedtunes.com I believe. Good job!

Chris. are you the the true author of this same-titled song that appeared on Dr. Demento 1-2 years ago? If so, you get 555s from me. If not, you are either a plagiarist or terribly in touch with your synchronicity. :0

The version of "Smells Like Camp Granada" which I wrote in 1997 was the #26 song of '98 on Dr. Demento. "Alien Van Sherman" was Lloyd Hicks (drums), Lou Whitney (bass), and D. Clinton Thompson (lead guitar). Lloyd's son Brian Wilson Hicks shared vocals with his dad. The three older members are vital cogs in the groups Skeletons and Morells of Springfield, MO.

DKHIMTS (Don't know how I missed this song), but I'm kvelling over it. Kindly disregard the low votes you got, it's great and they're meshuggah. But don't buy the liverwurst. (If you're really an Allan Sherman fan, you'll get that joke.)

I always thought these two songs were the same. I just googled them to see if anybody made the connection as well. I'm not dissappointed.

Too bad this was taken from a very old dr demento song. I used to have it recorded from the dr demento show on a cassette tape. I was actually looking for the song when I found this. Someone definetly did this long before you. The tape I had was from around 1996 or 97
