The Lyrics

This song came to me today while I was sitting here at home. The funeral is tomorrow and Im not sure how Im going to take it. By the time you guys get to read this he will have allready been buried, but I ask that you guys keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers, its time like these that they are needed the most. This has been a huge trial for us, but through all of your prayers, and reading all of these tributes, I am beginning to see a light in all of this darkness. Peace --- Ghetto John.
Your gone , but never too far
You will live on inside my heart
forever loving who you are
my heart has been shattered

nothings broken my heart this way
until you , were taken away
all these words I don't just say
my heart has been shattered

songs Ive wrote and I wrote with you
every day brought us something new
we had a Ghetto point of view
my heart has been shattered

never knew no one like you
never felt this pain I know
now I know

Your gone , but never too far
You will live on inside my heart
forever loving who you are
our hearts have been shattered

never knew no one like you
never felt this pain I know
now I know

never opened myself this way
life is ours, we live it our way
all these words I don't just say

trust I seek and I find in you
every day for us something new
open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters

I wont forget the words you said
I cant believe that you are dead
never knew no one like you
never felt this pain I know
now I know

Your gone , but never too far
You will live on inside my heart
forever loving who you are
our hearts have been shattered
Rest In Peace --- Monaco Chris 1984-2003

I don't know you or ther person you are refering to but I wish all the best for you. The lyrics to this song are excellent and go well with the music, on a ...less...personal note. Well, may he RIP and may the life that you all have bring the best for you and good memories. ~Pam

Again, you, your family, and Chris' family are in my prayers. Very good song.

I feel that these lyrics are in many ways far superior to the originals because there is just so much raw feeling and emotion put across in these words

I can understand how sad it is to lose somebody. I have used a MIDI of the song to see how your lyrics would fit, and it works really well. Although parodies can be funny, they can also be serious as well, as this parody proves. My prayers are with you and your family. May Monaco Chris rest in peace.

Dear Martin, Most of the parodists on this site do not record. . .however we are trying to encourage parodists to record more frequently. . .there is a ground roots effort being done by myself, Rick Cormier and other's on the site to make recording a more frequent occurance. . .visit amiright.com/performances/ to check out the latest recordings that have been done by AmIRight authors, although I'm afraid I don't believe this song is on it.
