The Lyrics

I wrote this song for the band I'm in but I used "Freak On A Leash" to help me write the lyrics. For the bridge bit, just kinda sing it over the top of Korn's rapping part. It's not the same timing however. Also, there's some change in the rhyming in the verses but don't let it bother you. =]
(Verse 1)
He takes me to my favourite place,
A place I've never been before.
A wild, fighting for my life
If I don't look out I'm down on the floor.
He sinks into my head again,
And leaves me to fend on my own.
I listen to my instincts
And try to survive in a place I call "home".

(Pre-Chorus)
I hate leaving when I am tired,
I know when I have given in,
I hate bleeding when I scar,
I fight the human deep within.

(Chorus)
Look at the scars of certainty,
See your peers in agony,
All the others will agree,
There's a feral child within me.

(Verse 2)
Signalling it's time to give up,
He finds me dead on the floor.
I cut him out, I wanna go back,
But now he's asking for more.

(Pre-Chorus)
I hate leaving when I am tired,
I know when I have given in,
I hate bleeding when I scar,
I fight the human deep within.

(Chorus)
Look at the scars of certainty,
See your peers in agony,
All the others will agree,
There's a feral child within me.

(Bridge)
[Let me outta here]
I've been from Heaven to Hell
[Let me outta here]
I'm grounded from where I fell.
[Let me go]
The human inside me's become numb.
[Let me go]
Look at what I have become.

(Chorus)
Look at the scars of certainty,
See your peers in agony,
All the others will agree,
There's a feral child within me.

How does it work? The feeling? I tried singing it, but I'm not familiar with 'Freak on a Leash' so I could not really 'feel' the rhythm of the words. The chorus, though, not only 'works decent' but has a lot of meaning.
