Hey Porfle, just an observation but some of the vets must be really old b/c material like "Fast Times" and other tv shows, movies, and music themes get almost totally ignored from the 1980s-forward. I'm glad that you are young at heart like me. I'm 48 this year but still forever in my 20s :)

Pretty sure I've seen that movie (and another twenty high school dittos pretty much just like it). Wish I've thought of using TOS, have some school jokes I wanna cram into a song, but you've covered that ground good here! :-)
Thanks! Yeah, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" is one of the mainstays of the high-school movie genre. If nothing else, it's remembered by most guys for the scene in which Phoebe Cates takes off her bikini top in slow-motion.
And, of course, for Sean Penn as the immortal Jeff Spicoli!
I've never seen this movie, show, play, comic book, novel? I'm not even sure what it is... But it works well as a generic surfer dude parody. This is pretty great! I don't get the references though...
Glad you liked it anyway! I recommend the movie ("Fast Times at Ridgemont High"), it's pretty much a teen-movie classic that is actually based on a non-fiction book by a journalist who researched it by going back to high school for a year as a student.
(Artistry) At first I thought this was gonna be about Italian food from the title. Never even heard of the movie, so all the in-jokes flew right over my head. Maybe if you'd kept the surfer-dude aspect and left the obscure movie out of it (I say obscure because the Wikipedia entry doesn't even have a main picture), this might've been a lot better, instead of just okay.
No problem. But as for it being an obscure movie--it's one of the most popular teen films of all time!
(Artistry) The best part is at the end when we learn that Spicoli received a fortune after saving Brooke Shields from drowning, then spent it all to have Van Halen play at his birthday party. Fun memories, fun parody!
