The Lyrics

Martin Allen McRichardson's third song features Bert from Sesame Street in Bert's World. There's a little difference in Bert's world, don't you think?
[Intro]
Welcome to Bert's World, from Sesame Street!

[Verse 1: Martin McRichardson]
They walk into my store one step at a time,
Like an athletic runner at the starting line.
Leap likes the way we play, so he calls her brother, Tad, says
"Don't wait up for me, I'll be dancing on a pad".
Tad hangs up the phone, then bursts into tears,
He calls ol' Lily up, and said "Get Bert in here".

[Verse 2: Martin McRichardson]
Lily tells ol' Casey, be back in a jiff,
Casey wants lasagna, but Garfield ate it in the drift.
Leaving Odie hanging, while he's swinging in the jungle,
But he ran into some monkeys, and it went into a bundle.
A wildman tells the monkeys, they've got bananas they can drop.
They screech into the jungle, and say, "Let's take it to the top".

[Chorus: Bert and Martin McRichardson]
Jungle hijinks, hopping away,
Gotta find a hotel that will make you stay.
When they're looking around, they're getting on our feet,
Welcome to Bert's world, from Sesame Street.

[Verse 3: Martin McRichardson]
The Monotones sang the song, and the audience starts to clap,
But then they got kicked out, cause their song was useless crap.
They tried to get back in, but then they lock the doors,
Then they send them through the air and down to the floor,
Down to a manhole, and on the train tracks,
They got killed, they never came back.

[Verse 4: Bert]
Mr. Johnson calls the waiter, he says he saw it all!
He sweared the giant spaghetti monster is running in the halls!
Grover rings up ol' Charlie, says "The missiles is on their way,
We hate to order you food, but it's just a crazy day".
Charlie asks, "Use your mask, if they can't close the door,
It's only just the frogs down in Martin's store."

[Chorus: Bert and Martin McRichardson]
Jungle hijinks, hopping away,
Gotta find an apple to keep the doctor away,
When they're looking around, they're getting on our feet,
Welcome to Bert's world, from Sesame Street.

[Chorus: Bert and Martin McRichardson]
Jungle hijinks, hopping away,
Gotta find a hotel that will make you stay.
When they're looking around, they're getting on our feet,
Welcome to Bert's world, from Sesame Street.
Welcome to Bert's world, from Sesame Street.
Welcome to Bert's world, from Sesame Street!
This is how it would look like if it was Bert's world, I guess.
