I never knew that leprechauns gave people shoes if they caught them. I always thought it was the pot of gold... or you know... cereal but this was really fun and clever and a perfect fit for the holiday!
Not sure if I get the ROYGBIV refs, Ethan, or rather I’m sure I don’t, but leprechauns need more parodic attention and this is a good start. 555
The pot of gold is the traditional giveaway, but leprechauns are also supposed to be cobblers. I learned this researching another leprechaun song which I wrote years ago and forgot to post today. ROYGBIV is a mnemonic device for the order of the colors of the rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
"The place where I live/is colored ROYGBIV" made me laugh out loud. Very nicely done.

I thought this was classic. "The place where I live is colored ROYGBIV" fits so well. I have a theory as to why Stuart was unaware of ROYGBIV, you see, to him, there are only two colours that matter (possibly only two in total): Yellow and Black. That will make sense to Stuart even if it seems that I have lost the plot - which is a different question.
"Then I’m like ha ha ha ha nope" made me laugh out loud literally. Great stuff! Also bonus fun fact for any Rick and Morty fans: my wife bought me a box of Strawberry Smiggles for Christmas (because she's the best wife ever that's why)

This was cute, to say the least. "Ha ha nope" and ROYGBIV were very inspired subs. It's funny how Billy Joe Armstrong's affective vocal style kinda sounds Irish in some of these songs we lampooned today, aint it?

I feel it is my duty as a participant in the Internet to point out that the YouTube video for "Basket Case" has been viewed 137,300,843 times. Which is probably 137x more times than most of us have been viewed IRL by everyone who has ever viewed us (intentionally or otherwise) in our entire lives. It's like looking at a distant constellation (or Green Day) and realizing how small we are. Anywho. Ethan. I knew from the first line where you were going with this, and you went there well. All those other lines everyone else mentioned? Yep.
