The Lyrics

This song is based on the Lethal Weapon movies. Please excuse the profanity, I'm was just quoting Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) from the film. Who's point of view I wrote this parody in. :-)
He don’t do as I say or as I do
He’s my partner Riggs and he don’t know when to quit
I don’t know if I’ll miss all this fun when I retire
But right now I’m getting too old for this shit

I remain silent while he remains violent
My gun’s in my belt but the lead’s in his head
Shoot them first and interrogate them all later
He’s not a cop on TV but he’s playing one

Laws are passed and broken all the time
To keep the balance of the good and the bad
Call all your shots as you shoot them
Guess that’s why he has gone completely mad

Diplomats hiding behind their immunity
While Leo Getz is still trying to get a gun
Constant thoughts of trying to kill himself
Guess he’s is a vigilante on the run

I have nothing to declare
But he’s been declared a loaded Lethal Weapon
And his gun is licensed to kill

He don’t do as I say or as I do
He’s my partner Riggs and he don’t know when to quit
I don’t know if I’ll miss all this fun when I retire
But right now I’m getting too old for this shit

I remain silent while he remains violent
My gun’s in my belt but the lead’s in his head
Shoot them first and interrogate them all later
He’s not a cop on TV but he’s playing one

I have nothing to declare
But he’s been declared a loaded Lethal Weapon
And his gun is licensed to kill

I have nothing to declare
But he’s been declared a loaded Lethal Weapon
And his gun is licensed to kill

Thanks B.A.D.! Yes, you really should try this song, it is the #1 favorite of Green Day's songs that I like, the other one is "Basket Case" which I'm thinking of tackling soon! But I will mention, it will be a challenge, well, at least it was for me. :-) W.C.J.
