The Lyrics

If you are offended,I'm sorry. But, I am sick of the media talking about him all the time.
This years important campaign.
Is Obama vs McCain.
About who gonna to the new president.
I am one of those McCain loving fools.
Who want McCain to be the new president.

(Chorus)
Where all scaried of Hillary.
McCain is the prez for me.
The votes all add up.
And McCain has lost.
And I'm sick of hearing about Barack Obama.

People talk about Obama.
It brings me down to drama.
They talk about him than the law allow.
I when to Spencer's store.
They had Obama products galore.
And it's pushing to the point I want to scream.

(Chorus)

Obama's in control.
So, I better hold on.

(Chorus)

Hey Cody, appreciate your hard work!

I think one problem is that the topic is a little dated, it's kind of old news.

Now, if you did one about Obama being a fiscal basket case, you might have something. ;-)

Keep pounding out those parodies, dude!

Parody is clear and to the point! For some reason, my parents are on the Republican side while me and my bro are both on the Democratic side. They're actually McCain supporters and they thought that he had more Presidential experience than Obama. I do like Obama though, but I did find your views on Obama hilarious!

Don't get me wrong, I do not hate Obama. I just don't support him. But, thanks for the comment.

For me, I tend to stay out of politically charged parodies, namely because I'll either disagree with them and have trouble reading unbiasedly if they are totally against my viewpoints, or if I'll agree with them and read it biasedly because I agree--it's hard to separate politics and humor when reading. In this case, it goes another step in that the story line is old, McCain/Obama is 8 months ago and thus it may be hard for some people to get into a story that is aged. You picked one of my favorite Green Day songs, but with Green Day--and most popular bands, choruses tend to be very repetitive, and thus not varying them can make a parody about equal on a repetitious scale. It was certainly nothing personal Cody--I just had trouble getting into this topic, and this particular parody, but we all pretty much have parodies that aren't read by a lot of people-and then there are those that are. . .hope that helps. PS I still plan on doing a parody of "We Made You" like you asked me to--just haven't gotten an idea I like for it yet. . .

Thank you Dave for you comment. This song is one of my favorites, too. My sister don't like it. I don't know.

Seriously? I'd hate to ask what she does like. . .this is one of the best songs Green Day ever did--raw fun energy, how anyone could not like it boggles the mind.

i am a conservative but DID NOT vote for mc cain. if i want steak and lobster, i dont settle for dog poop. mc cain was a man of integrity while serving our country, he is not now. as for liberals, YOU allow your clowns to do anything, you turn a deaf ear, a blind eye, you lack integrity. consrvatives didnt show up to vote much in 2006 and 2008. winning a pile of poop isnt worth becoming puppets to us. question - if you know someone is lying or bad for the situation, you still want your kids to vote for it and enable it just so you cant say you won? the liberal parents are that way. and your kids probably know you sold your soul. we've turned into a gimmie gimmie group who tollerates LEADERS being failures, socially and morally void of quality, and you liberals enable them. I DONT ! i hate o-12000 more troops 57 states o-dumba, yet could not enable mc cain, and sticking with principals and integrity, i hate mc cain and bush too. if we all get on the side of GIVE US A FAIR DEAL WITH NO BUYING VOTERS WITH TAX DOLLARS OR OTHER SCAMS, YOU BUY YOUR OWN GOODS, LEAVE MY CASH ALONE, - we can change things. if not, you liberals enabling all your socialist clowns will aid the destruction of the most prosperous nation ( in less than 250 years of existance) and when you have to buy this or that, or get taxed for whatever cause of a farse like global warming, blaim yourself for wanting to win more than wanting justice.. lets see, bail out the rich companies, send in troops to a war your demoncrats said cant be won, and soon tax us for our miles we drive and such global bull crap, and you STILL WANNA WIN SO BAD YOU'LL ENABLE THIS? i feel sorry for you liberal fools who need to win so bad. get some brains, integrity, confidence and make some wise decisions, live within your means like days of old, and you wont have to vote for puke and poop. we conservatives fire our bad guys, you wont. get responcible and demand production from your liberal "LEADERS". but it wont happen...
