The Lyrics

Here is the original version of Elton John's hit "Can You Feel The Love Tonight", written during the initial stages of production for Disney's classic film 'The Lion King'. Maybe.
Need no food processor
Make your own puree
In the heat of the jungle world
Squish a crème brulee
With larvae and insects
They’re easy to chew
It’s enough for Pridelands foragers,
Pumba, Timon, too

So won’t you eat some grubs tonight
Be the jungle star
Won’t you stuff your face with caterpillars
From our buffet bar?
Please come and eat some grubs tonight
Green ones are the best
Got enough, you won’t need no vegetables
Just pluck them from their nest

There’s plenty for everyone
But please take your turn
You’ll be singing “Hakuna Maaaa--
Tata!” Feel the burn!
It’s savannah season
In our wild outdoors
Slurp the guts from this hairy centipede
Want some slime? Here’s yours

And we’ll all eat more grubs tonight
Wish upon a star
Get enough for this wide-eyed forager
To fill up a car
I’m gonna eat the grubs tonight
Sitting on my chest
It’s the stuff for meerkats and wartyhogs
And their yong lion guest

It’s the stuff for meerkats and wartyhogs
A squirmy, crunchy fest

As many people know I'm a big fan of Disney, especially Disney humor and this one was great. I could honestly hear this in the background of the scene. Absoutely love the movie!

(Artistry) Excellent... eating bugs is gross, but the OS, parody quality and humorous rather than shock-value emphasis makes up for it.
(Sorry if I show double standards here since I've written so many parodies about vomiting)

Would make a great backing song and video for a Fear Factor episode. Funny and well done.

Interesting synapses of one of the key scenes from the movie where this song was made as big as it was. Pacing wasn't as tight as it could have been, but it did work, and I really enjoyed seeing this idea put to its potential by a veteran writer.

(Artistry) Sounds like it should be the theme song to "Fear Factor". Nice contrast between the music and lyrics.

(Artistry) Pacing was a bit shaky in places, mainly the second verse, but otherwise this was brilliantly done. 555! Bon apetit!
