Parody Song Title:

"Conan O'Brien"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I noticed there was a lack of Conan O'Brien related parodies. This is in no way, shape, or form to be disrespectul to Princess Di. I was just as sad as everyone else when she died. Instead, this is a tribute to Conan O'Brien.
Conan O'Brien
I have watched your show from the start
Even when the critics bashed it
And tore your jokes apart.
You started in our country
And your style has stayed the same
Now you're watched worldwide
And everyone knows your name.

And it seems to me that ev'ry Late Night
With Conan O'Brien
Always have something weird to do
When silence sets in
And I would have liked it if you
Didn't stop writing Simpsons
The cartoon was so great before
Won't be the same again

Then Andy we lost
The show changed without your sidekick
But Max stepped up to the plate
Used jokes along with his drumsticks
And even though they tried
Those writers, to repair
The loss of Andy Richter
Their best was Masturbating Bear

And it seems to me that ev'ry Late Night
With Conan O'Brien
Always have a new character
For television
And sometimes they are a success
Like the Jesus on a Rope
Other times they don't do so well
Just like the Fed-Ex Pope

Conan O'Brien
You'll always get plenty of laughs
You use jokes that explain themselves
And you hiss like a cat
Conan O'Brien
From a man who loves to watch your show
Maybe you'll get a better time slot
Like before Jay Leno

And it seems to me that ev'ry Late Night
With Conan O'Brien
You always hide from the camera
Then pop up again
And I always chuckle when you
String Dance to start off your show
Then go and sit down at your desk
And hit your microphone

I would have liked it if you
Didn't stop writing Simpsons
The cartoon was so great before
Won't be the same again

Just picture Sir Elton John singing that. Told you I would stop with the superhero parodies...for now!

On your top comment...considering that the song was originally written for Marilyn Monroe...and THEN for Princess Di...I think the natural progression kind of leads to Conan O''t worry.

Conan stinks.

I know, Arwen, it just seems most people would have had a problem with Princess Di since 99% of the people only know her version. Thanks, Johnny D. Wow, two people whose parodies I've read and laughed over read comment on mine first :)

I love Elton John and I love Conan. So, naturally, I give this song 3 5', it's very well written for such an...obscure song.
Ahnonamis - August 12, 2004 - Report this comment
TT: I'm guessing you mean obscure as in the overall thing, not the original song. That thing was played so often my dog can howl the tune.

Good rhyme with an unexpected topic. 545

Good job, Ahnonamis, but I had to give you an overall of 4 instead of 5 because you never mentioned Triumph, the Insult-Comic Dog.
