The Lyrics

Drain STH is/was 4 very hot young women from Sweden who seriously rocked. Had they hit the US in the early 90s instead of late, I think they could have been a huge success here as part of the Grunge scene. If you have a moment, go to Amazon and listen to a few samples, there should be an album cover "Freaks Of Nature" to the right of this parody. The semi-quoted lines are the parodied rapped parts done by guest Herbie Crichlow.

I will assume with you that the pacing is good, although the sample was too short to tell. It made my allergies act up. :)

I still owe you for reintroducing me to this band, they had one big hit (this song, a true rock classic, or so it should be IMHO) and then took of for the States so fast that a brainnumbing vaccum erased them from my memory until earlier this year. Oh, and did I tell you that STH not only stands for Stockholm (like we thought) but also unofficially for Straight To Hell? I'm sad to see that they didn't become the huge success they, based on the music, deserved to be, and telling from the latest release (1999 as far as I can tell) won't be either. Have they given up? Tossed in the towels? Do you know anything new about that?

Kick-ass original song, and a pretty cool parody to boot. I liked the maim a mime line, and was impressed by the ease it seemed to pull off all of these crazy rhymes.

(ABC4S) Jack - This one wins by a nose. One saving grace to the sinus blockage is that you won't notice the funk coming from Mikey's ABC parody comp like the rest of us have. How I envy that. Fine take on something that seems almost impossible to me to parody. I'll give you that my friend. Great execution.

(ABC) pollen abounds alright, or something does - a very weird read for me, Jack, although I'm impressed with "maim a mime" which is a new take on an old subject - I was hoping the 4 beautiful girls were going to be the band, but I guess not - a little too bizarre for my liking mate

(ABC) I have to be honest with you Red Ant, I didn't find this one to be all that funny, it was ok, and very well paced, but it just really didn't make me laugh all that much. Though, as a recording, it may work better, I'd love to hear you try to sing like them girls--and if you sound a little off you could blame it on a cold and say it was intentional:)

Belated thanks to Matt, Max, Guy x 2, Stu, conqueror, Dave, Mikey and IB.

Matt: I love the original; it's one of my favorites.

Guy: Rock/rap can be hard to parody, but the rapped lines in this were fairly short.

Stu: Those 4 women were in the band. They have since disbanded. Aside from the rapped parts, what you heard was those 4 women.

Dave, IB: Thanks for checking out the OS. I seriously doubt a backing track for this song will ever be made, but you never know.
