Mary Ann and Wanda were the best of friends all through their high school days.
Both members of the kennel club both active in the S.P.C.A.
After graduation Mary Ann went out west to be a cover girl
Wanda looked all around that town. She bought a house with squirrels.

Well, it wasn't two weeks after she moved in, Wanda started gettin' abused.
She served cocktail nuts and planters classics,
But those squirrels just weren't amused.
Well, she finally got the nerve to look in the tree, a stately Oak growing there.
But a squirrel ran down that Oak tree limb and put her in intensive care.

Right away Mary Ann flew in from Atlanta on a red-eye midnight flight.
She held Wanda's hand, as they worked out a plan and it didn't take 'em long to decide,
Those squirrels had to die.
Goodbye...Squirrels.

The squirrel right people, they came in.
They searched the tree high and low.
Then they tipped there hats and said thank you ladies.

Well, the weeks went by, spring turn summer and summer faded into fall.
And it turns out there are thousands of squirrels
The girls can't kill 'em all.
So the girls bought some land and a roadside stand down on highway 59.
They sell squirrel ham and sautéed squirrel jam and they don't lose any sleep at night.
Cause... the squirrels had to die.

For goodness sakes!
Let's go out to the park squirrels, we'll pack a lunch.
And bring lots of nuts...
