Parody Song Title:

"Deceived"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

"The South shall rise again!!!" NOT!!!
After blood, after blood
(Repeat)

No matter how hard they try
South keeps pushin' Confed pride
Nothin' new, no breakthroughs
Yeah, the Ku has no clue
Won't give up the old for the new
Good Ol' Boys are Right-leanin'
Somehow cheated, they believe it
Loss of the Antebellum
Still deny what the North had won, Oh yeah

(Chorus)
They're deceived by lost cause as still won
Look at Reb Flag still on display
Drink whiskey and shoot off their guns
Sing Dixie!

What are Black folks to do?
When progress is blocked by views?
Victims of a heinous act
Well, now there's no turning back
It's 'bout time to move on
'Cause praising hate is so wrong
Time to push stronger measures through
To get that f-cking Flag removed, Hell yeah!

(Chorus)

White Supremists cannot face facts
That the old ways are so wrong
T'was the South that lost the war
And the Ku Klux Klan's abhorred
T'was the South that lost the war
And that flag's not wanted anymore
Not even on a car*

(Chorus, repeat and fade)

*Dukes of Hazzard General Lee

hmm... well I've gotta say I very slightly disagree with you this time Rob what I mean is yes racism is a horrible thing and should not be celebrated but I guess I personally "Believed" that the rebel flag could be seen as... well as they say "heritage not hate" then again perhaps it's just because I myself live in the south and I get kind of annoyed with the stereotype of us white southern guys being racists not that it can't make for some good humor! 4's I also have never personally flown a "Con Flag" but I was a fan of "Dukes Of Hazzard" back in the day (been forever since I've watched it don't know if I'd like it as much now) and "Believed" that if somebody wanted to fly that flag it was their right! on an unrelated note am I the only one who thinks that auto-tuned Cher sounds kind of man-like? as I've commented before I thought the original song sounded like a dude was singing it before I found out it was Cher!

I believe that the South had the right to secede; but unfortunately, slavery was part of that cause and that type of heritage is outdated. The South can indeed rise again IF it decides to get rid of the Rebel paraphernalia, design new state flags that represent all peoples of the South and encourage diversity that will bring investment and opportunities for all. As for the General Lee car from Dukes, I have a diecast of it. I never saw anything racist about that, but Walmart and others won't sell it anymore...

To focus on the shooter's weapon, emotions, politics, mental state, skin color, etc is to tarnish the memories of nine good people who should still be alive. That is what matters. If the government were serious about murder, this punk would be falling through a trapdoor with a rope around his neck before Labor Day. If not sooner. Instead, like Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, he will grow old in prison waiting for a needle that may literally be decades in coming. The taxpayers will be bilked for millions to secure a conviction and sentence, then millions more to a different set of lawyers to see that the sentence is delayed or overturned. It's all a game for the lawyer class, and those nine murdered Christians are just a trivial talking point. They no longer count. But, at least Wal*Mart won't sell anymore General Lee Hot Wheels cars. That's going to make a big f*ing difference. If you embrace the most popular version of the Confederate Flag as a symbol of your personal prejudice, you have just had it affirmed, 100%.
