The Lyrics

In VB VB
In VB VB

How was I supposed to know
That somethin' wasn't right here
In VB VB
I shouldn't have let it go
Out to a customer site, yeah

Show me
(The) error message you see
Tell me precisely
'cause I need to know now
Oh, because
This program bug's
Annoying me (and I)
I must confess
I still can't see (still can't see)
Why is it happening not every time
Tell me which line
Test my program one more time

In VB VB
That error just can't be true
And I don't understand it
In MS VB
There's nothin' that I can't do
But not the way I planned it

Show me
(The) error message you see
Tell me precisely
'cause I need to know now
Oh, because
This program bug's
Annoying me (and I)
I must confess
I still can't see (still can't see)
Was it bad programming, or poor design?
This bug I'll find
Test my program one more time

In VB VB
In VB VB
In VB VB
How was I supposed to know?
VB is buggy
I couldn't test ADO

I must confess
That my stress test
Is running here now
Don't you know I still believe
This bug I will find
And work out which line
Test my program one more time

My program lacks
Stability (and I)
I am depressed
It's still buggy (still buggy)
Update your VB, and then you might find
It shows the line
Test my program one more time

I must confess
(my latest test)
That my latest test
(Is thrilling me)
Is thrilling me now
(I must confess)
Don't you know I still believe
(I still believe)
With this version here
Now it's running fine
Test my program one more time

Sad to say I know this song (although it's because I've been working on Kick The Baby One More Time...a South Park parody). But, as a software guy, I thought this was good.

I thought I knew it, until I started writing and found out that I was getting mixed up with "Oops I did it again"... tempted to do one based around object-oriented programming: "OOPS The Programmer's Friend". Though as I played this one, I did notice a certain similarity between Miss Spears' "Baby Baby" and Buck Rogers' friend Twiki saying "beedee beedee" ;-)

A. Good parody. B. Please write OOPS, the Programmer's Friend. I want to hear it.

neminem - it's written and submitted... though it's a bit on the heavy-going side, as my parodies go.
