The Lyrics

A (parody) song about the perils of a man having to go shop for the love of his life. Original song's opening line references Romeo, so I had to reference Juliet. I'd like to thank my wife, who politely reminded me we have two daughters & 3 granddaughters (so I've changed much my first attempt!) So we now have a parody of not just Bon Jovi (why wouldn't you?), but also a parody of those feminine hygiene TV adverts! (I can just see John Bon Giovi singing these lyrics instead of his!)
Your Juliet is needing
She'd go shop if she could
She thought there were some left, but
In the box there were none

It's good you got home early
Needs a favour, if you would
Well, in your pocket there's a fiver
Doesn't cost much, show some love

You can show you love her
Many ways she's yet to see
Pharmacists ain't sold those to you before
You're turning a new leaf

If you can buy your lady, Always
Then she'll be there forever & a day, Always

She'll be able to leap in the sky
If the heavens burst, she can ride her bike
You won't have to hide when she's wearing white
Cos she's wearing Always

Now the picture off of last month's box
I'll just have to hide - tuck it down my sock
Glad it makes you laugh, cos it makes me die
When I see your mum down that very aisle
Now I'm flustered & I'm sweatin', don't know where
Don't know what I'm doin' here
When you send me shop, try to understand
I've made mistakes, I'm just a man

When it's time to shop, when the time is near
Add it to your list a dozen times a year
But if you forget
Or you haven't coin
I'd go again for the brownie points

& I will buy you, baby, Always
Say you'll be there forever & a day, Always

Without wings they would ride up you - no good
If you need me to buy for you, I would
Take a look at my face
See, I'm keepin' it straight
To sing these words to you

If you're outta luck
Got the painters in
May as well just go & cut the grass again
But, you can amass points 'til
Another time
Look upon her face where the sun still shines

Yeah, you can buy your lady, Always
& she'll be there forever & a day, Always

She'll be able to leap in the sky
If the heavens burst, she can ride her bike
You won't have to hide when she's wearing white
Cos she's wearing Always

Always… (oh baby, are you wearing Always?)
Always

Two words changed ...PHARMACIES (instead of ...pharmacists) & ...if you need me to buy THEM you (instead of ...FOR you)
