I never wanted to bake pie alone
They laughed the loudest, who'd have known?
My family just makes me bake, clean, and repaint the wall
But they still hug me, all and all.
I took the crust, filled it with plums. Into bake, here it comes.
The choice was mine, I didn't think enough
Shoulda known you don't like plums!
I finally conquered my day came
If only there were a zillion mothers days
Days when I can soak in a bath (I'll finally feel alive)
I can't wait to go outside
My husband was watching
Hate to cry
I got the coolest presents and the blender survived
I can't wait till I get home
So I could try out my blender and microwave and make scones.
I know I'll bake this pie alone
Another six minutes, they'll eat it all
Give a peice to the kid, they ask for seconds again and again
They won't step foot near my pie again
They cry it out, pout it up,
Say 'Remember when you made me drink
apple juice in the hall'
Now they're mad at me again- Jenny, I'm sorry it's not your fault.
I had conquered my day came!
If only I had more birthdays.
Days when I felt old, yet happy. I was glad to be alive!
I spent my time inside.
My husband was watching (he's weird)
I hate to try, but it had to be done
Told him to go, (hon)
I couldn't wait till he got out of this home
To pass the time by the fire alone.

Tomorrow holds such better days
Days when my kids will go to college
I'll miss them but it'll be nice to have quiet outside
Time is ticking
The years goes by
First 18 years are over I'd surivied
I can't wait till they come home for vacation- I'll make them tea and scones.
Then cry and hug them to the bone
